Macho for the masses. The 2003 Hummer H2 is an all-new vehicle in the Hummer lineup. Though possessing styling similar to the original, this all-new Hummer is more manageable and more affordable.

Pros:
  • Distinctive styling, unmatched off-road capability, stout drivetrain.
Cons:
  • Feels massive, some cheap interior materials, limited cargo room.

I think that this car is the hottest suv in the world. I am only 18 and I promised myself that I would have one before I turn 25 years old. I am working on that and that it would be my summer car. I really think that this suv should stick around awhile.

the exterior design is great, and it is a good value compare to the H1. And it still has more off road ability then most other full size SUV.

Turns heads at every corner. Easy to drive after a few hours on the road. Room was a concern, but no problem. Lots of room. Tires will develope wear patterns sooner or later. I wonder how the ride will be then. Large all-terrain tires will create more noise as they wear. Its a super SUV and I love it.

The 2003 Hummer H2 is by far the best truck I have ever owned. I have the Luxury package model in black. The H2 is powerful, beautiful interior, turns more heads than a $300,000 Bently, what more could you want from a SUT.

  • Poor Int.quality & lack of cargo space - 2003 Hummer H2

If you are going to take a trip, you have a choice, either luggage or the family. There isnt room for both. The exterior spare tire mount is both cumbersome and expensive ($1,300.+) The roof rack is functional, however you will need a ladder to acess it. Overall styling is good, but, it appears that GM relied on to much plastic and veneer. Fuel mileage leaves a lot to be desired, mixed city and highway 10.5 mpg.

  • CAN YOU SAY G-500 OR RANGE ROVER? - 2003 Hummer H2

I expected more power for the money. I expected more colors (int. & ext.)for the money. I expected a more substantial air-conditioner for the money. I expected a more solid front end (nose) for the money. The truck was billed as more tamed and agile for everyday driving. This is not the case. It is clearly more suited for off- roading. I need off-road and everyday driving balance. As one other reviewer suggested, I shouldnt have bought it! However, I will replace my H2 with a Mercedes G-500 or Range Rover AS SOON AS I CAN UNLOAD THIS QUEEN OF THE PIGS!

No better value for what you get one the market. If you are complaining about the gas milage, get a honda. Very capable offroad and very quiet on road. I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone.

  • Others Complaints Seem Bizarre, Great! - 2003 Hummer H2

Some of the complaints on this board seem bizarre now that I bought my H2. To the guys whining about the Air Conditioning, I live in the desert, it was 110 yesterday and the H2 kept me as cool as any vehicle Ive been in. (OPEN the vents and click the "recycle air" button). Regarding the sound system: Sounds great with PLENTY of power... Nice quiet ride overall, more comfortable than I expected. To the guy who called it "The Queen Of Pigs", Im missing something... Obviously its big, but the rides smooth and it handles well for its size. What did he THINK he was getting, a Hundai??
