Macho for the masses. The 2003 Hummer H2 is an all-new vehicle in the Hummer lineup. Though possessing styling similar to the original, this all-new Hummer is more manageable and more affordable.

Pros:
  • Distinctive styling, unmatched off-road capability, stout drivetrain.
Cons:
  • Feels massive, some cheap interior materials, limited cargo room.

  • Like Nothing Else - 2003 Hummer H2

This is by far the most fun Ive ever had with a vehicle. It works great as a daily driver to and from work. Has enough room for trips to the Home Depot or my local landscaping store. And on the weekends I take this baby down some serious offroading trails with my local HUMMER club chapter. Everyone knows that a 3.5 ton vehicle with a 6.0 Litre V8, with Full Time 4WD, and 35" tires is NOT going to get good gas milage. However, it empowers the Hummer to do other things. If you want fuel economy, get a Honda Civic. But dont expect it to tow a boat or scale large rocks with ease.

Cant get it away from my wife. Have had no bad experiences with this vehicle with the single exception of putting up with all the enviornmental wannabees in Seattle.

All of these reviews are complaining about the H2 because it doesnt perform well enough for them ON ROAD. Well, this isnt a truck for the ambitious city prick, it is a hard working and very capable off-road machine. When people say a class of its own they have figured it out. So my advice to the people that buy these trucks is dont expect to have the hottest off-road pickup furnish your luxury and ride needs when this truck is fully capable of terrain that you cannot imagine. NOT FOR THE CITY!! I would like to see your precious "luxury SUVs" get through the mud let alone the 20 in of H2O.

At the dealership, there was already rust forming on the undercarriage. The salesman was not polite and respectful at all. The ground clearance simply is not enough for true off roading. The inside is nothing more than a blazer or a suburban. The use of plastic for the bumpers is not up to par with the price tag. For the price range, aluminium should be used for the construction. A 6.0L engine should be paired with more than 8 cyl. To top it off, you cant get it in a standard!

Waited 16wks for my H2. Have the truck 3months and put 400 local miles on it. Get 10.3mpg. Easier to handle then my Suburban geat ride but the whole under carriage is rusting out in such a short time.

ALTHOUGH THE GAS MILEAGE IS SIMILAR TO MY EXCURSION I AM A NUT FOR A FINE RIDE. THIS VEHICLE IS A THRILL. I AM ALSO EXPECTING MY FIRST SPEEDING TICKET ANY DAY NOW. OUR FAMILY LOVES THE HUMMER H-2.

I have owned 6 SUVs over the last 15 years and this Hummer is the best ever. I bought one of the first Hummers in PA and heads still turn when I drive it. It rides better than my Range Rover,Is more comfortable than my 2001 Suburban and out-handles the M320 my wife owns. At 75 mph down the highway it drives like a lux. coupe I will never drive a different vehicle in the PA mountains.
