Overview & Reviews
Honda brings out the high-revving, high-horsepower S2000 for 2000. The S2000's naturally aspirated inline four makes an amazing 240 horsepower, sending it to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox.
- Agile chassis, rev-happy engine, minimalist design.
- Not much low-end torque, plastic rear window.

Amazing - 2000 Honda S2000
By 9000REVS - April 22 - 2:00 amDriving my car is my favorite part of everyday. This car is everything you could ever want in a sports car. Handling, power, 9k redline, convertible, new technology, and much more... all with an average of about 25mpg. Below 6k rmps this car is great driving, extremely fun, and still has enough power to get you where you need to go. Above 6k rmps (VTEC) is like a roller coaster ride. The car rockets fowards as you watch the digital speedometer climb, the rev limiter lights up and you know its time to shift for another 3k rmps of powerful sounding, head jerking, adrenaline rush.

Love my Y2k, S2k - 2000 Honda S2000
By s2000black - February 5 - 2:00 amIve had my S2000 since Oct. 1999. Its the best car buying decission I have ever made. It is the most fun to drive vehicle for the money and has been one of the most reliable vehicles listed in Consumer Reports Magazine. Although it is very reasonably price for its class, the limited production by Honda keeps it somewhat exclusive. After over 3 yrs, its still an attention grabber and still feels just as tight as new. This is a street legal race car. If you want a luxury soft top, get the Thunderbird or Merc SLK. If you love to drive (turn corners & stuff), this is your car.

best convertible sports car under 35k - 2000 Honda S2000
By bby2ks2k - December 26 - 2:00 amto drive this car is to love it. its chassis is extremely rigid, the steering is fast, the brakes grab and dont let go, the sound of engine spinning at 9000 rpm makes you shiver and i dare you, i double dare you to find a more direct and precise shifter for in a car less the 100K dollars. i must warn you that it is a purists sports car (for the most part) it rides very stiff, its noisy and interior storage is a joke. lets not forget the good gas mileage (27+ on my car) excellent reliablity history and resale value

Outstanding - 2000 Honda S2000
By oksurb - September 6 - 2:00 amCoolest car Ive ever seen and/or driven. Handles impeccably. the car cas often gotten knocked for not having much low-end power, but I think that is a plus as it makes driving in stop-and- go traffic much easier...and the "juice" is definitely there when you need it. I wish I oculd have two of them...one to drive to death, and one to just look at every day!

Outstanding Car - 2000 Honda S2000
By slbutler - August 18 - 2:00 amHonda really outdid themselves with this car. There is nothing like it on the road. When the VTEC kicks in at 6000 RPM, you get a kick in the A$$ that stays with you until you redline at 8900RPM. What other car allows you to go 63mph in second gear and be able to maintain that speed without damaging the engine? Im not sure how fast it will go, but I do know the self test of the drivers all digital display shows a 2 as the first digit of the three digit speedometer.
