  • Performance at what price? - 2005 Honda S2000

The heartpounding expiriance as the Jack in the box V-tec screams to the 8,000rpm red-line makes you remember why you bought it. That, and the fact that it handles like an exotic. All this at a price, you have to pull over to scratch your back. Allthough its a bit tight inside, its not the kind of car you use to drive cross country.

The best thing about driving the S2000 is that I am a lady science teacher and my middle school students love it that I can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4.2 seconds in my Honda. My husband has clocked me. My husbands feet are a little too big for the pedals so he doesnt drive it much but we bought the Honda for me anyway. I zip around the countryside, hugging corners, shifting gears. Sixth gear is the best as I feel the burst of power. People smile and wave to us. Young and old have said, "Cool ride!" And it is.

  • Im in love - 2005 Honda S2000

I was feeling pretty low as I started my search for a car. You see, Id had a stupid wreck, my fault, and now I was being forced to replace my beloved 300ZX. A friend told me Id know my new car when I saw it and boy, was he right! One test drive was all it took. You have to drive this car to understand how tight it feels. I challenge any car lover to drive it and not smile. If you want interior bells and whistles, look elsewhere...no dash GPS here...but if you want an amazing piece of affordable engineering that is a real drivers car, this is it. Also, the red color I purchased is so loud you can practically hear it.

  • A good fit! - 2005 Honda S2000

After driving Z4, Boxster, and S2000 I spent a good deal of time considering which I would be the best for my situation. Exterior styling on Z4 is good, interior and ride is rubbish. Boxster is the nicest drive of the 3, but at considerable running costs. The S is just fun, good looking and bullet proof. Engine note on Boxster is supreme. I actually plan on driving this car daily at some point and prefer to trade seldom. The Boxster is a bit better in every way except running costs and maybe steering speed / response. In short, Boxster cost is 2X up front, 3X to run, and lasts 1/2 as long. S wins on precise handling and overall reliability.

I have always wanted one of these cars since they came out in 2000. I finally found myself in a situation where I did not need practicality and had an extra car for rain/snow driving, so I bought a Certified Pre-Owned 2005 S2000 about 4 months ago with 30850 miles. Whenever I go out and drive this car I dont want to go back home. I just want to keep driving. People have called it a 4-wheel motorcycle based on its handling, high-revving 4-cylinder and open-air nature Ive found that it is also like a motorcycle in the sense that when you drive it you just want to keep going. (The only other thing thats given me that feeling was a motorcycle.)

  • Love this car! - 2005 Honda S2000

I live in the Northeast, therefore, I will use this car for spring, summer and fall driving. My winter car is a "practical" Accord. The S2000 is my 3rd Honda and I love it! Its sleek and comfortable. Im 54 and its easy to get in and out my tall friends have a difficult time. Ive had the car for 3 weeks and I cant tell you how many people want to race me. I tested out the Miata and there is NO comparison. My golf clubs and an overnight bag fit easily but I would like a compartment in the driver door that closes. You get a lot of car for the money and will be very happy if you buy this car.

  • Honda S2000 - 2004 review - 2005 Honda S2000

This car is one of the most nimble and tightly wound sports cars I have ever driven. The 2004 model has plenty of low end torque (compared to the 2003)- which I drove but did not buy. The handling is supurb and the short throw shifter is the best in the business. The only driving complaint is that when the top is up you have a blind spot to your left rear if you look back.

  • Lovin every minute of it - 2005 Honda S2000

This car is a real head turner, its like sitting in real sports car. The manual transmission is a lot smoother then I thought it would be. Im the envy of my friends and neighbours. I looked around at many diiferent vehicles and for the price and quality especially being a Honda, dont look at anything else.

  • Wind thru what little hair left. - 2005 Honda S2000

Second car, only for those top down days. Better low end torque than 03s and earlier. One of few convertibles that will fit a 63" guy. I compared both of the BMWs against the Honda and just handed back their keys. I average about 24 mpg even with pushing it hard sometimes.

  • Wow! - 2005 Honda S2000

I just bought my S2K used with 50,000 miles on it. I have owned a lot of cars in my time, I change out about every 2 years, but this one takes the cake. The interior shows little wear, the trans and clutch are great, no leaks etc. I had a 06 GTI and a 06 MX-5 Miata before I bought the S2K. This car is in a whole other league from those. You simply think turn and it does it. The communication between the road the car and you is incredible. I looked at Boxsters as well, but the interior wear and the expense of upkeep is ridiculous on those. How can you not love the 6,000 rpm wail of this engine. I thought i would be hard to get used to but, once you get the hang of it.
