Overview & Reviews
The 2005 Honda S2000 returns unchanged.
- Agile chassis, rev-happy engine, minimalist design, optional hardtop, high level of performance for the price.
- Could still use some additional low-end torque, shrill engine note at high rpm.

Top Down Tenure - 2005 Honda S2000
By Thomas Curtner - May 1 - 11:33 amBeing a sports car junkie has its downside, as one is continually judging the vehicle in possession against the sum-total of past experience (time to trade AGAIN, sigh). Its tough, when past experience also includes stock/mod race cars. However, the Honda S2000 delivers in so many categories, and the sheer joy of the driving experience is magnified so completely by this motorcycle-on-wheels that Im simply laughing too hard to concentrate on convincing you to try one! Seemingly innocuous, feels like many other superb handling sports cars, UNTIL the driver decides to push it. The Honda becomes a rocket pack youve strapped on...rain or shine, its simply superb. Outrageous, F1 level fun!

2005 Honda S2000 - 2005 Honda S2000
By cyneron - April 30 - 11:04 amThe S2000 is a fun car to drive and you can hardly wait to get behind the wheel. My wife uses the car as a comuter car and gets about 30 MPG. When I drive the mileage is somewhat lower as I run the car through it paces. Be prepared for foolish challenges on the road even from the most unlikely vehicles. A light touch of the gas and all challengers loose interest. Quite a little car. Quite a little car, Hondas done their home work.

The one you want - 2005 Honda S2000
By Tim - April 29 - 12:26 amIf you want to get the most bang for your buck, look no further. It is quality inside and out. No problems, except the factory bridgestone tires do wear out pretty quickly. For long drives, I actually perfer to take this car as opposed to my wifes SUV. And with good packing, you can fit a lot into its trunk. But if you were really concerned about trunk space, you wouldnt be looking at roadster. To sum it all up, this has been the best car I ever bought.

My 4th S2000 - 2005 Honda S2000
By Ken - April 28 - 1:59 pmCant beat this car for bang for the buck. Will outrun anything on 4 wheels in the canyons and most bikes, too. Plus doubles as a daily drive. Great gas mileage, low maintenance costs.

S2K Your Life Away - 2005 Honda S2000
By NC Raskal - April 26 - 6:28 pmHave had a Toyota MR2 and a BMW Roadster. Got a great deal on a little red S2000 with only 900 miles on it. This car is a well-built, pure point-and-shoot driving experience. Remember its a 4 cylinder and youll understand why it seems short on low-end torque but dont forget it likes to run on higher revs. It gets perky 4-6+K RPM range. Great short throws. Unlike the BMW, Honda dispenses with the heated seats and other perks - this S2K is a drivers car. Have fun. And S2K your life away!

S-2000 - 2005 Honda S2000
By John Killeen - April 16 - 2:31 pmI love driving my Honda S-2000. It is fun and reliable. I wish I had access to a race track so I could find out how really fast it can go.

Suzuka Blue - 2005 Honda S2000
By Mnakano4 - April 15 - 6:29 pmThis car is sick and poised at the same time. The limited slip rear provides much fun on tight corners. And with each day I become more impressed by her abilities to carve the curves. This is a car you wear but as the scenery flies by, you forget about the compact size. And once you hit 6,500 rpm... she hits power-band much like a CR 250. When will Honda provide us with an eight cylinder monster?

S2000 - 2005 Honda S2000
By Lonman - April 13 - 12:34 amWhats not to like about this car. Solid as a rock (more so than a lot of hard top cars), stunning good looks, excellent hids, great led tail lights, superb handling, awesome gearbox, and honda reliability and amazing value. Snatch em up while you still can. This car is one of the best kept secrets in todays auto world. And my other car is a 2004 BMW M3.

S2000 - 2005 Honda S2000
By JohnathanThroneberry - March 1 - 6:56 amIts a blast to drive. Your girl friend or wife may or may not like it because it really turns heads! I have never opened it up all the way due to a past speeding ticket, but I can say it drives as good at 120MPH in 5 gear as it does at 60MPH. So I can only imagine how much fun and how big of a ticket you could get in 6Th gear. You wont find a nicer or more fun car to drive.

Why did I not do this sooner? - 2005 Honda S2000
By OahuJD - January 2 - 10:00 amTo be honest, waking up in the morning is so much easier now that I own the S2000. I cant wait to drop the top and soak in the Hawaiian mornings. This is the finest made car I have ever driven/owned. I looked at the Porsche Boxer, Mercedes, Lexus, and the BMW. Most came close to the S2000, but they all lack in one category or another while the Honda is the complete package. After the 600 mile break-in period, hold on! This car is super quick, and driving on twisty roads makes it that much more enjoyable! I highly recommend this car!!
