Overview & Reviews
Since its launch for the 2003 model year, the Honda Pilot has helped shape the market for crossover SUVs with three rows of seating. Offering V6 power, respectable fuel economy, a comfortable ride, plenty of interior space and seven-to-eight-passenger seating, the Pilot is exactly the kind of vehicle that appeals to growing families who are leery of traditional minivans. Other crossover SUVs might be sportier to drive or more stylish on the inside, but Honda's three-row crossover appeals to your practical side and packs in a lot of functionality.
Choosing a Pilot is straightforward, as Honda packages equipment in a few basic trim levels rather than offering countless options. Regardless of the year, all Honda Pilots give you three useful rows of seating and lots of storage slots, though early models are smaller and aren't quite as accommodating for teenagers in the third row. Cargo capacity has also increased over the years.

Fantastic Auto - 2005 Honda Pilot
By steve blake - July 30 - 5:50 amThe finest ride for a SUV. Comfort is excellent. A much finer auto than my Chrysler 300. I could not be more pleased with the selection we made for my wife.

Compromise well done - 2008 Honda Pilot
By JoshYi - July 28 - 9:02 amCR-Vs gas mileage and handling is much better. However, the year-end discounted price was almost the same as CR-V, and one big car in the house wouldnt hurt. Didnt like the look of 2009 Pilot. Its a set of best compromises that we settled on.

love it, should have bought one before - 2005 Honda Pilot
By francisco - July 28 - 8:43 amlove this suv. have not found a single thing to dislike. its got plenty of cargo space ( roomier than the mdx), which is great since we have a 2 yr old daughter and do a lot of traveling. you could not ask for better performance in a suv and the quality of materials and fit is superb. highly recommend it

Good is my Pilot - 2004 Honda Pilot
By CHN - July 28 - 2:00 amStarted out researching 4 dr. trucks (Titan, Tundra) but fuel usage caused me to look for a mid-size SUV. Checked out the Toyota Highlander and 4Runner, Kia Sorrento and Honda Pilot. When your seeking comfort, style, safety and reliability with decent milage (mpg) the choice became obvious to me. Good is my Pilot. I like it alot! Fit and finish is apparent. Design and ergonomics are best in class. Controls are easy to use and the sound system rocks, although the bass is somewhat muffled if set above 3. Go for it..... Good Luck dealing. I was able to negotiate a deal for $900 under MSRP for a 2004 Silver Pilot EX.

Pilot is worth the wait! - 2003 Honda Pilot
By RobertK - July 27 - 10:00 amI had originally set my mind on the GMC Envoy XL, but we were very impressed with the Pilot ride quality, it seemed more composed than the GM SUVs. I thought that the Envoy would feel more powerful, but I was wrong, the Pilots 240 hp is more that plenty, even with my wife, the salesman, and our 3 kids inside. The VTM-4 All Wheel Drive seems to work great so far, though we have yet to use it in snow, etc. The fuel economy has been 18.2 mpg so far. (Used to get 13-15 in my Grand Cherokee V8) The seats are very comfortable. I paid about $3500 less for the Pilot than I would have paid for the 3 row seat Envoy XL.

Solid SUV - 2003 Honda Pilot
By MattH - July 27 - 10:00 amOverall a very solid SUV and supprisingly roomy if your lucky enough to get one. Great family hauler with the benefit of 4WD if needed. So far quality seems excellent. Fairly bland styling but it avoids the plastic frills of a lot of todays SUVS (ie. Trail blazer). All of the benefits of the MDX minus a few dollars.

Best vehicle purchase ever! - 2006 Honda Pilot
By Honda_Lover - July 26 - 3:07 pmThis is the best vehicle purchase we ever made. Has performed great in the worse winter conditions. Handles great considering its size. Lots of interior space and lots of trunk space for moving big items. 2 years now and not one mechanical issue. Has great power and handling, drives like a car. Great looking vehicle that turns heads when we are out. Best mid-size SUV in its class. Interior is well laid out and the stereo sounds great. Would highly recommend this vehicle to anybody.
