Overview & Reviews
Since its launch for the 2003 model year, the Honda Pilot has helped shape the market for crossover SUVs with three rows of seating. Offering V6 power, respectable fuel economy, a comfortable ride, plenty of interior space and seven-to-eight-passenger seating, the Pilot is exactly the kind of vehicle that appeals to growing families who are leery of traditional minivans. Other crossover SUVs might be sportier to drive or more stylish on the inside, but Honda's three-row crossover appeals to your practical side and packs in a lot of functionality.
Choosing a Pilot is straightforward, as Honda packages equipment in a few basic trim levels rather than offering countless options. Regardless of the year, all Honda Pilots give you three useful rows of seating and lots of storage slots, though early models are smaller and aren't quite as accommodating for teenagers in the third row. Cargo capacity has also increased over the years.

Great buy!!! - 2003 Honda Pilot
By Maribel - May 22 - 10:00 amI bought this SUV after comparing it with both Lexus SUVs, Toyota Sequoia and Highlander, Acura MDX, Mercedes Benz and BMW SUVs. I have to say it is very smooth to drive, has great power, and the features are incredible. Even though in Puerto Rico it is much more expensive than in the States, I believe it is worth the price.

Great overall vehicle - 2016 Honda Pilot
By Jesse Burque - May 21 - 12:34 pmThe safety features that come with the Honda Sensing is well worth the value I use the ACC and LKA on a daily basis. I agree with others that the FM radio needs an upgrade, but overall this is a great family vehicle and fun to drive.

Good but far from perfect - 2009 Honda Pilot
By jack - May 19 - 3:32 pmVery solid performance, smooth riding, good brake, good acceleration. However, I found the building quality is not so good.

Love my 2009 Pilot - 2009 Honda Pilot
By ginnie - May 17 - 11:07 pmWe seriously considered several vehicles for 1-1/2 years before we made our purchase - the Highlander, Forerunner, Acadia, Enclave and the Outlook. Our main concern was a safe and comfortable vehicle to travel long distances and that got reasonable gas mileage for an SUV. The touring model ended up being our pick due to the Michelin tires. The sales people we encountered at all of the dealerships were not knowledgeable about the fact that there is a difference in the tires on the Touring and the EX and LX models. The Michelin tire on the Touring gave us a much quieter ride.

Great for a minivan in disguise - 2016 Honda Pilot
By Emily G - May 17 - 3:56 amIts a Honda. Solid. Well designed. And despite it being the first automatic transmission I have ever owned, I actually enjoy driving it. It sure does make life with kids easier. I feel quite spoiled without having to spend so much on a luxury vehicle.

Pulls to the right!!!! - 2009 Honda Pilot
By Troy - May 16 - 10:56 pmOur Pilot also pulls heavily to the right!!! This is very disappointing since it otherwise would be a great car.

Enjoyable SUV - 2004 Honda Pilot
By Lanie - May 13 - 10:00 amI have had my Pilot first the get-go. It is fun to drive, seats the kids and dogs and groceries and whatever I pick up during the day. The GPS could be better, more detailed. The MPG is NOT the advertised MPG I get...I get much less. Wish I could have gotten the GPS and the DVD system together...wanted Honda to add DVD on but they said no go.

love my pilot! - 2004 Honda Pilot
By June M - May 13 - 10:00 amIm so happy that this is the car I chose. With the third seat up my three children and their friends all fit with room to spare. The Pilot is a great alternative to a minivan or extra large SUV without compromising any space. Its fun to drive and MUCH easier to park than my husbands Suburban! I highly recommend anyone looking to check out the Pilot.

A Great Choice! - 2004 Honda Pilot
By Lisa Wilson - May 13 - 10:00 amThis is an excellent vehicle. We love our Pilot. We first became interested in it because of the wonderful safety ratings it was given by consumer reports, and we are very happy with our decision. There are some extras, like automatic lights and power passenger seats that the EXL does not have. We wish these features had been offered to us.
