BEST SUV AVAILABLE - END OF STORY - 2003 Honda Pilot
By NJHondas - September 10 - 2:00 amBest SUV that I have ever driven. Used to own a 99 Grand Cherokee and fiance drives a 2001 Durango. There is no comparison. Handles like a car, extremely quiet and smooth. Been getting about 18 city and 22 highway....MUCH better than other SUVs.

Near Perfect - 2003 Honda Pilot
By Happy Pilots - September 10 - 2:00 amThe Pilot is the best vehicle weve ever owned. A great highway cruiser and city commuter. The Pilot is our first SUV and won our vote over the Explorer, Exped, Highlander, Sequoia, Envoy, Yukon, Durango, T&C 4WD and Montero. After 3000 miles, we have recovered from the thought of paying sticker and not taking advantage of a 0%/60 mo deal. The Pilot has many strengths that help explain why our recent 1000 mile trip with 3 kids was the most painfree trip weve ever had. Our only negative experience is the daily coin flip we must face for driving rights to the Pilot. Definitely put the Pilot on your "must drive" list prior to buying your next SUV.

HONDAAAAAAAAA ! - 2003 Honda Pilot
By BonkeeBro - September 10 - 2:00 amWonderfully crafted. Perfect interior. As quiet as my BMW 540. The visibility is incredible. The multi adjustable power seat accomodates everyone. Nice low end power available for highway passing.

Cool Crossover! - 2003 Honda Pilot
By NHusain - August 30 - 10:00 amExcellent vehicle. I understand a lot of people like bold styling than bland. But its really not ugly, just bland. You will notice its overall solid feel. I like the fact that its based on MDX and Odyssey. Hopefully, it should enjoy a great resale value as well.

Awesome SUV - 2003 Honda Pilot
By TexPilot - August 5 - 10:00 amWasnt expecting my Pilot til mid October, but it arrived 10-3. Just in time for the Honda 3.9% APR, too! I reviewed this ride and compared with others in its competition and the Pilot was a winner everytime.

Nice but not perfect - 2003 Honda Pilot
By gart - July 29 - 2:00 amNice vehicle. Comfortable, handles well, fair performance, terrible gas mileage so far(12-13), ok Stereo. Most things are what I expected. Engine is smooth, but not great performance. Stereo looks good on paper, only fair in real life. 2nd row seats should be adjustable. Just hit 1000 miles. As long as it stays reliable, and gas mileage improves, I will be happy.

Glad we waited - 2003 Honda Pilot
By etorger - July 29 - 2:00 amWe looked at all the midsize and some of the big SUVs and came very close to purchasing the Toyota Sequoia last Spring but saw a review on the Pilot and decided to drive it once just to see. We were blown away by just about everything about the Pilot. Essentially an MDX with a much better price. Eventhough we had to wait 4 months to get it after ordering, it has been everything we could have wanted in an SUV and is such a huge step up from the Dogde Grand Caravan we had for 6 years. Mileage has been decent and the comfort and roominess inside are terrific. My wife loves this SUV!

Great but sound & 4WD could be better - 2003 Honda Pilot
By pilot_pilot - July 24 - 2:00 amGreat vehicle; but radio/CD sound could be better. Honda Pilot speakers deliver very uneven frequency response (big dip around 500 Hz, followed by a big peak around 1 KHz, judging by my spectrum analyzer). My 96 Dodge Grand Caravan has much better sound (factory Infinity speaker system). Hondas 4WD system seems designed to help Pilot get unstuck when needed, but under most circumstances, this is a FWD vehicle (supposedly delivering better mileage).
