  • Excellent buy - 2003 Honda Pilot

Bought it 12/27/2002 - it outperforms many sedans in driving on the curved roads (ramps, highway exits, etc.) During last winters snow storm on Presidents day I went to work and made it there without any difficulties - I almost fell down on ice when I went back to the car, but the car did not slip at all on the road. The acceleration is very good, ABS works fine if you need it.

Best value and reliability for under $35k. Toyota was close, Liked the Montereo- but offered no value. Honda dealers are making deals. I paid $2100 under msrp. Drive it, like it, buy it.

  • Honda Hit the SUV 10++++ - 2003 Honda Pilot

Ive had numerous SUVs in the past from the too big Suburban to the midsize Pathfinder, the Pilot is the one for my family. Love this SUV. Ride is smooth comfortable, pleasure to drive. Most SUVs are a pain to park, not this baby, whips right in there. With 2 kids and summer travel DVD Please! Pack up the kids, CD case full of movies and you wont here a sound! Loads of cargo space for large trips to the store! Cannot express how much my family and I love this vehicle. My company even purchased one for mail runs and office errands! Honda, keep up the good work!

The Honda is a very sophisticated vehicle compared to my 10 year old Explorer and to all of the other 4WD vehicles I drive while on the job. It is fast, smooth, and has plenty of room for me (63) and my stuff (bikes, plywood, skis, etc). The interior is well thought out, and the powertrain is exceptionally smoth. Handling is excellent at low speeds; could be a bit firmer on the 62 mountain curves on my commute.

  • Excellent SUV that drives like a car!!! - 2003 Honda Pilot

    Fantastic vehicle.

  • I love my Pilot - 2003 Honda Pilot

This SUV is just the right size for me; not too big and bulky. I like the way it handles around curves and corners. The vehicle is very comfortable on both long and short trips. The interior space is adequate (especially the middle seating area). And the "hooks" that are provided in the rear cargo area really keep the contents of my grocery bags from escaping.

  • Fun to Drive - 2003 Honda Pilot

I had never owned an SUV before. I dont generally like the truckish ride and feeling like the vehicle is going to roll over. The Pilot has a nice, car-like ride, and the interior is comfortable and spacious. The new leather also smells nice.

  • No regrets!! - 2003 Honda Pilot

Lives up to the hype. Looked at Ford Explorer and Chevy Tahoe. Honda handles better, gets better mileage and comes in at a cheaper price. Interior layout is great. Everything is right where you want it -- this is clearly a very well thought out vehicle.

  • Hop on in and come for spin !!! - 2003 Honda Pilot

I have been desiring a new vehicle for at least 2 years. Was driving a 1995 Honda Passport. I loved it when it was new but it was getting pretty long in the tooth recently. I was looking at the newer small sized SUVs (Ford, Mazda, Range Rover) and couldnt see spending all of that money for very little vehicle. Then, Honda Pilot came along and I was very interested. Styling is dull to unique in the front but absolutely does it for me from behind. Ive had the vehicle for 600+ miles and it is far and away the best vehicle I have ever owned. It is truly a testament to Hondas engineering Dept.

Purchased on July 4th and have been very happy with this vehicle. This is our third Honda vehicle. The ride is better and quieter than our 98 Accord. I have to hand it to Honda - this vehicle is AWESOME. Recently took a vacation to South Dakota and checked fuel economy. Averaged 18.4 mpg in the Black Hills area (176 miles driven on 2 different days)and averaged 23.89 mpg on highway and interstate driving in Western Nebraska and Kansas (1846 miles total). There are some steep grades out there and the Pilot had no troubles whatsoever.
