I was tempted by other sport utes like Explorer and Jeep Liberty but Im glad I held out. I couldnt be happier in my Pilot. While this is my first Honda product it certainly wont be my last. Nothing Ive driven comes close to the smoothness and feeling of quality. The Toyota Highlander was a close second but if you drive them back to back youll notice the Pilot is significantly larger and when similarly equipped is the better bargain as well. Ive heard a lot of complaining about the fuel economy but I haventt noticed that it is that bad, probably around 20 mpg. Not bad for a mid-size suv. Overall a great ride.

Bought it at 45K now at 65K only 2 minor issues. Coolant crossover??? and a back light on the HVAC controls. The 4 kids (one in a car seat) my wife and small dog and I fit well enough but if we actually want to take anything with us especially for an overnighter, storage space can be tight even with the 60/40 split 3rd row. Bought a roof bag for camping/cottaging. I hate the plastic bug deflector (aftermarket but bought and installed by Honda) it vibrates and makes a very loud noise over 65 and on my second one now same thing. But Im nitpicking, overall its a good all round vehicle that would fit well with someone who can sacrifice a little space and just doesnt want to drive a minivan.

I have only started driving recently, this car is my parents car, however it is soon to become mine, even at 6 years of age this car cannot stop impressing my friends when it comes out on Friday nights. It is obviously not as tight as it used to be, but it is bulletproof, I have done some things to it that I regret, however it shrugged it off and kept going like it was no biggie. I love how simple it is compared to all my friends cars, yet it gets the job done, despite playing with 2008 and 2009 model BMWs and Lexuses. It rocks and I will never give it up until the thing is truly done, I dont even want a newer car I love this one so much!

  • A brilliantly designed &engineered SUV - 2004 Honda Pilot

Afer sliding around in the Connecticut winters with a BMW 540, I decided go to with an SUV. The moment I test drove the Pilot (after test driving competitors) I knew I was home. A great feel to the vehicle. Nice acceleration, very comfortable, feels you are protected in case of a crash, yet very easy to drive and manuver. After the 540, I thought I would be bothered by an SUVs lean in curves. No such difficulty. Had occasion to drive it on an 4-hour trip through the mountains of West Virginia. No feeling of top heaviness. Third seat just fine for two small adults. Brilliantly designed interior. What a great car!!!

I wanted a SUV and had not really been shopping when I went to a Tent Sale and they had this Pilot. It was Silver (the color I preferred) and had practically everything I wanted on an automobile. I wanted something with room and the 3 seats were excellent because I could carry all the grandkids. I wanted something I could haul my dogs to vet in as well as haul flowers, etc. This car just fit all my needs. It gets decent gas mileage and is comfortable to drive, etc. The dealership from which I purchased the car has been excellent and service great. I am well pleased with my Pilot. My daughter loves Hondas and had just purchased a new Honda Accord.

Great vehicle!!! Bought this for my wife and Im getting a little jealous because it has exceeded our expectations. Smooth ride with a smooth interior. I would recommend the tan interior if you can get it. For some reason it makes the car look a little richer. Honda Cars of McKinney Texas made us a great deal. Stop in and see Elbony, she will hook you up.

This car drives great and gets decent gas mileage. I am getting 17 MPG in the city. The interior is very quiet and comfortable. I especially like the extra set of radio controls on the steering wheel. There are plenty of DC outlets for powering a lot of accesories i.e. CD/DVD players, etc. It has plenty of power expecially at the higher revs. My only complaint is that it does not have a second row of captains chairs. This would make access to the rear seat much easier and still be able to seat 7 people. Other than this one area, I am totally satisfied with this vehicle and would definitely buy again.

  • So Far So Good - 2004 Honda Pilot

We have owned a Pilot for 2 months now and love it. Initially I refused to even consider one because I didnt like the wimpy look of the front end and it didnt offer a sunroof. The ride is really smooth and I love the look of the interior, very rich. Id hoped to get around the same gas milage as my 2000 Odyssey but that is not the case. At first I had some problems when starting the truck. After taking it in, I found out its the WAY I start the truck that was the problem. I was putting the key in the ignition and turning the key to fast. Something about a microchip in the key. I start it slower now and havent had any trouble.
