  • A True Mid-Size SUV Has Finally Arrived! - 2003 Honda Pilot

Weve looked at Tahoe, Expedition, Explorer, Highlander, 4Runner and Sequoia. We finally came across 03 Pilot at Huggins Honda in North Richland Hills, TX. Looking at Honda Pilot from the outside can be very deceiving; it was the INSIDE that got us hooked. The moment we realized it has a 3rd row seat, we immediately asked for a test drive. Pilots well- built 240-HP VTEC engine truly delivered. We bought our 2003 Pilot from the dealers show room with 10 miles on it! Though negotiation took longer than expected, we were extremely satisfied with the purchase. Huggins Honda staffs were nice and professional.

Shopped every possible SUV out there, Pilot wipes out them all for overall value & quality. I recommend this to anyone needing the functions of a minivan, but yet still want the fun SUV look & drive. This one can be bargained as well, got it for $1,600 under MSRP.

We have just purchase the Pilot this week. I owned a 96 Explorer. There is no comparision to the new Explorers. Pilot is light years ahead of anything in this price range. Fit/finish exceptional. Comfort handling all exceptional to everything we test drove. It is worth the wait on the dealers waiting list(2 monthes).

  • Wonderful to Drive!! - 2003 Honda Pilot

Ive owned my pilot for a little more than a month now. I compared it to the Pathfinder, Highlander, Expedition, and Mountaineer. The Honda offered the best combination of size, looks, ride quality, and reliability. Most of all, it offered the best value. I actually purchased mine for $500 under sticker. I miss some of the bells and whistles from my Jeep Grand Cherokee (auto lights, auto-mirror, auto door-locks, memory seats, heated seats, awesome sound system), but the ride of the Honda more than makes up for it. I hope to love my Honda enough to be a life-long convert.

  • Its sooo comfortable - 2003 Honda Pilot

Had a difficult time finding the color we wanted w/ the nav system. Settled on green. Dealers (all 4 of them) jerked us around on what they could get and the price. Other than that, the car feels safe, sturdy, and has handled WONDERFULLY in the mountains (10k ft+). Awsome acceleration either going up the mtn grades or passing on highways, and I was able to plow through 1 ft+ of snow to get to my driveway. Has not slipped or skidded on even the worst ice/snow covered roads. And the front seats are the best. No sore bum after 3-4 hrs of driving. Gas mileage is 17-18 average.

  • Best of the Utes - 2003 Honda Pilot

Reliability, Quality, Functionallity, and fuel economy just about says it all. Honda makes a great product so it was an easy decision to buy the Pilot when I saw impeccable build quality, a vehicle that seats 8 and gets 17 mgp in the city. The size of the Pilot is perfect. My wife and I drove from Southern California to BC Canada over the summer and we had room for everything. The final fuel consumption for the trip, 22 MPG. Bottomline, we love the Pilot. It beats all others hands down. Thanks Honda :))
