like the honda - 2003 Honda Pilot
By Square - June 4 - 2:00 amI have 13,000 miles on my honda pilot and it has been a solid purchase. I have read other reviews and agree with some of the minor problems. The lid on the center console was a problem in not staying latched. A few small rattles that come and go. I do not like the tires. The Bridgestones are not up to the standards of others, I have tried to trade them in for better tires but the hit I would take is not worth it. Overall, I am happy with my honda. I will be taking a trip with it to Colorado from Wisconsin soon and have no doubt it will perform well.

Looking at Replacement - 2003 Honda Pilot
By divers - May 31 - 2:00 amResearching new vehicles already. Pilot is a let-down. Great value & great protection for me & 5 month old when hit (back driver-side) by a light- runner (40 mph w/$10k damage). The problem - the roof rack piece falling off & after 5 trips to the dealer they cant get rid insane rattling (windows+). My husband hates the road noise & the signature sound rounding corners. After looking at the Yukon and Sequoia, Im going to miss the storage and my payment. If only...

Love my Pilot - 2003 Honda Pilot
By angieeb - May 30 - 2:00 amGreat SUB. I love it. I can haul 7 kids, or a ton of various items. I have been driving SUVs since 1987 and this one rides like a dream and is my favorite SUV ever.

Great Family Car! - 2003 Honda Pilot
By NJMOM - May 24 - 10:00 amHonda has come through once again with a practical, family friendly, fun to drive vehicle. My three kids fit comfortably in the second row seat and we have room for their friends when we need to with the flip up third row. I am grateful to no longer drive a minivan. Just watch out for dealer mandatory accessory packages that are unneccessary and make it more costly than it should be. I have the EX with Leather and the DVD and its perfect as is without any accessories!

From a truck-based to a car-based SUV - 2003 Honda Pilot
By gogo - May 19 - 10:00 amHaving driven a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo for three years, the transition to the Pilot was easy and welcome. The ride is much more comfortable and the cabin noise is considerably less and the pick-up is great. The cargo space is far superior and since I dont tow a boat, the comparison to US SUVs puts the Pilot ahead in my case.

Fun To Drive / Poor initial Quality - 2003 Honda Pilot
By carandkidsx2 - May 12 - 2:00 amThings that have gone wrong in the first 6 months:DVD player replaced due to faulty sensor, faulty oil pressure sensor replaced, drivers power window switch(auto down feature) broke, drivers seat loose and dealer cant find fix, passenger side seat recliner broke (part on back order),rear seat A/C vents fragile and have broke twice, left front A/C vent loose and wont stay in the position you want, clunking/thunmping noise under the hood when you turn on A/C,battery died (dealer replaced).I truly believe these are teething problems,as we have one of the first made.I will NEVER buy a first year model again.

Love this vehicle - 2003 Honda Pilot
By castalure - April 25 - 10:00 amI cant believe the power that the little 3.5 liter V6 puts out. Much better than the 4.6 liter V8 in the Ford Crown Victoria that it replaced, and it blows the doors off my 5.1 liter V8 powered F150. Its a dream to drive on the highway, even towing my boat. Very comfortable seating, although I sometimes have difficulty finding a place to put my left foot. Plenty of interior lighting, and the sound system with sub-woofer sounds great. My only complaints are that there is a lot of road noise, and the fuel economy (17-18 mpg) could be better, by hey, its an SUV, so you cant expect miracles. Cant wait to see how it handles in a New England winter.
