What a great car. Just got it, but already know it is well made and built to last. All the little things seem to come together just right, the car feels solid, has an excellent turning radius and does not seem "truck-like".

Ive been waiting for Honda to come out with a larger SUV for years. They finally came through with a great product as usual. Strong performance, great ride and Hoda reliability - you cant go wrong!

  • nice car. happy owner. - 2003 Honda Pilot

like the car a lot. have owned about 6 hondas now and they have all proven to be reliable and solid. like the interior styling a lot but still getting used to gear shift and backing this big thing up. 8^) being used to a 2000 accord, great outdoor vehicle. rode nicely over field and bumps. liked my salesman, didnt care for the "sales manager". agreed to the deal then said they couldnt do it but then changed their mind again as my wife and i were 2 feet from the exit. typical stupid and insulting sales tactics. no fault of Honda though.

I did my share of research for a well priced SUV that could provide a good value & resale value as well. It ended up right under our nose. The Honda Pilot. The Pilot has everything that I believe an average SUV buyer could want. The colors & interior options are great as well. I love everything about it. We owned a Pontiac Grand Prix GTP & it got 25mpg easy. I havent gotten to that point yet with our Pilot. But its new so Im optomistic.

  • My only problem - 2003 Honda Pilot

I love the performance of the Pilot; I also like the navigation system. The only problem, so far, is the paint job, especially on the front bumper. It actually rubbed off when I brushed (not crashed into) a snow bank. Other points on the front of the car show that the paint appears to be coming off (not because of dings). Off course I had to paint to have the bumper repainted at the dealership. Other than that, I love it.

  • Great car! - 2003 Honda Pilot

Traded up from our troublesome 2000 Tahoe LS. Excellent in every respect.

  • Cavernous - 2003 Honda Pilot
    By -

It has a very solid, if not heavy feel. It handles well for an SUV. A quiet, comfortable ride. The radio can be loud without being annoying. The fit and finish is perfect. A huge center console wont have you and your significant other jockeying for elbow space. The front seating is cavernous. More front space than the much larger Sequoia and maybe even the Tahoe. The car feels slightly underpowered, surprising at 240 HP. You can floor it for more power of course, but the transmission will not-so-seamlessly downshift and the engine will quietly yell at you. I just filled my first tank since the purchase and if I did the math correctly, I got 14.9 MPG city
