  • Love the Pilot! - 2003 Honda Pilot

I have never owned a Honda and now I think I will never own anything else. This SUV has the smoothest ride of any vehicle I have ever owned. It fits tight with no rattles! There is plenty of room in the front and second row, and loads of cargo space. The interior layout is fabulous. The Pilot is a pleasure to drive.

  • Excellent SUV better than any V8 - 2003 Honda Pilot

Excellent fuel economy. Faster than any V8 Ford (Expedition), Chevy/GMC (Denali/Suburban), with 240 horsepower. Great stability and off road capability when needed. Large Cabin space. Third row seat actually can fit 3 full size adults under 6 foot. Love the SUV. Use to have a Ford and Chevy SUV and they had problems with their engines (water pumps, cylinders.)

Other than the tranmission recall and free oil changes, was in shop once for RR door rattle, fixed. It lives up to its calling, it seats eight, but only put small kids fit in back. Seats fold down for carrying cargo, hold road well, no vibration or other problems reported by others - thats with the Goodyear tires - the Bridgestones dont do that. Problem reported about bad sound problem with windows down - thats only if you have just the rear windows down. Holds road well, 4WD works when needed. Looks like Ill get about 24K miles on original tires. Get 15MPG in tight city driving (Dallas), 19-20 on highway, I drive agressively. Carries a LOT with rear seats down. Pleasure to drive!

great acceleration. very comfortable. nice, smooth, quiet ride. best utility, gas mileage, acceleration, expected resale value, cargo space, in its class. this was our first honda. comparison shopped vs. trailblazer and explorer. from bumper to bumper, not as well designed or had the workmanship or materials of the pilot. explorers workmanship and materials are a joke.

Delivered 6/8/2002. Black exterior, gray leather, navigation system, back- up camera, chrome bumper cladding, front bumper cover with foglights, and added aftermarket 8inch DVD system. Nicest driving vehicle Ive owned, comfortable. Plenty of power, turns like a car, very quite interior. Third row small but functional. Excellent fit and finish. Like the looks with added front bumper covers more than the MDX.

I absolutely love it! It was worth waiting almost 30 yrs for Honda to build their own V6 SUV........ Im glad I only had to pay MSRP for It. I hear many dealers are charging 2-3% over sticker.

  • breaking in a new vehicle - 2003 Honda Pilot

I waited 1 year for this SUV and i think it was well worth it. It drives like a "moms car"; soft, quiet, etc and has all the utility features of a minivan. im not sure about reliability because, right off the lot, rear heating didnt work and one of the front vent broke off. other than than, i get the feeling that the car is well built all around, typical of honda. my thumb is up and we(my relatives) are getting 3 more of these suvs.

  • Almost Perfect - 2003 Honda Pilot

It looks perfect so far. I think it is the best SUV in it is class. I am so happy that I purchesed it. It tooke me 2 months of thinking and compairing with the Toyota Highlander before I decided that it is better for a family man.

  • pushin a pilot - 2003 Honda Pilot

the Pilot is a sharp, 4dr bizness vehicle and the yakroof racks contain the weekend yaks with very good stability. I have pushed the crap out of the pilot on the texas highways - 85mph for hours with good gas economy for this speed. It has greater inside cubics than its sister the Accura MDX, is 18% less in original cost and uses regular gas, versus premium on the MDX (for the same engine). great front interior space and comfort/widthroom/legroom/headroom (im 64"). The auto 4wd works quite well on the slick streets & fishin spots. A great vehicle for the $ and longevity.

Not as many bells and whistles as the Jeep Cherokee but a far superior ride and comfort. This is a SUV that drives like a sedan. The stereo leaves a little to be desired.
