Good is my Pilot - 2004 Honda Pilot
By CHN - July 28 - 2:00 amStarted out researching 4 dr. trucks (Titan, Tundra) but fuel usage caused me to look for a mid-size SUV. Checked out the Toyota Highlander and 4Runner, Kia Sorrento and Honda Pilot. When your seeking comfort, style, safety and reliability with decent milage (mpg) the choice became obvious to me. Good is my Pilot. I like it alot! Fit and finish is apparent. Design and ergonomics are best in class. Controls are easy to use and the sound system rocks, although the bass is somewhat muffled if set above 3. Go for it..... Good Luck dealing. I was able to negotiate a deal for $900 under MSRP for a 2004 Silver Pilot EX.

Smart, cool and smooth... - 2004 Honda Pilot
By Kinsey Party of 5 - July 17 - 10:00 amThis is the 4th Honda Ive owned, and the first SUV, and everything I love about Honda is compounded in the 2004 Pilot. Extremely smooth ride, outstanding, well-thought-out features, and smart styling. We opted for the Leather/DVD EXL, and after our first car trip with our 3 kids, I noted the DVD was well worth the price due to how quiet the kids were during the ride! The only disappointment I had was due to the popularity of the Pilot, I had very little negotiation room on the price with several dealers, but I dont doubt I got my moneys worth: the Pilot seems like it was built just for our family.

its okay - 2004 Honda Pilot
By lesvic - May 30 - 10:00 amits okay. there are some knocking/thumping sounds while driving. per the dealer, this is a result of the design of the gas tank. also, the car sometimes moves forward (lunges) without putting my foot on the accelerator, and it sometimes holds back (drags) without putting my foot on the brake. the gas mileage is pretty good for city (start and stop) driving. the standard radio/cd speaker system is not very strong, and sound is not good with the windows down.

Dont Think Twice, Its All Right - 2004 Honda Pilot
By FBK - March 3 - 8:16 amMy end of my lease is nearing. I am unbelievably letting go of my 04 Pilot w/Nav. A tremendous performer on wet, ice, snow, and the occasional stretches of smooth pavement I manage to come across. Reliable to a fault. Predictable and reasonable gas mileage. A great performer on the long haul. More usable space than anything else in its class. Carries an overwhelming amount of cargo. Nothing ever broke. Not even the smallest thing. m replacing it with the 08 Pilot. A no brainer.

Buries the competition - 2004 Honda Pilot
By DES999 - October 29 - 10:00 amThis is my first "SUV". It is a little different than my normal zipping through traffic in a car but overall I am very happy with it. There are alot of reviews that nit pick everything but when you compare this to the most common competitors (Explorer, Envoy, Trailblazer) it beats them hands down. Resale value, reliability, fuel economy, safety, and owner satisfaction are whats important. Not how "flashy the stupid dashboard looks".

Fun Family Car - 2004 Honda Pilot
By Piloter1 - September 16 - 10:00 amFun to drive, Kids like bein the middle and way-back. Plenty of room to pack for long trips. Gas milage is the one drawback -- but true for SUV class in all. Pilot is better than most SUVs
