Overview & Reviews
Since its launch for the 2003 model year, the Honda Pilot has helped shape the market for crossover SUVs with three rows of seating. Offering V6 power, respectable fuel economy, a comfortable ride, plenty of interior space and seven-to-eight-passenger seating, the Pilot is exactly the kind of vehicle that appeals to growing families who are leery of traditional minivans. Other crossover SUVs might be sportier to drive or more stylish on the inside, but Honda's three-row crossover appeals to your practical side and packs in a lot of functionality.
Choosing a Pilot is straightforward, as Honda packages equipment in a few basic trim levels rather than offering countless options. Regardless of the year, all Honda Pilots give you three useful rows of seating and lots of storage slots, though early models are smaller and aren't quite as accommodating for teenagers in the third row. Cargo capacity has also increased over the years.

Love My Honda - 2005 Honda Pilot
By Alysha Turner - April 6 - 5:25 amHonda pilot is a great and relaible car but is not good with gas at all. This thing goes through gas like its free. A full tank only last 2 days and thats just pick up and drop off at school. Horrible gas mileage.

Pilot Soars - 2003 Honda Pilot
By rdy2tk3 - April 5 - 10:00 amI am a Honda person, so I may be biased. I love this truck. It is so roomy inside (I have friends who recently purchased the Highlander and they say it feels smallish compared to the Pilot). The power is nice right from the line. Youll be happy you decided to purchase this vehicle.

Smoooth - 2004 Honda Pilot
By Mooncurser - April 5 - 10:00 amI purchased a 2004 EX, the 2003 had too much road noise(tires I presume). So I waited. I was impressed with this 2004, quiet, handling, comfort, and quality. I have less than 1000 miles showing but getting 20-21 mpg average driving which is not bad for a suv that weighs in at 4,440! We bought it because most Hondas with automatics can be towed flat on the ground behind a M/H.

What no CD, storage and slow tech - 2016 Honda Pilot
By Jk - April 3 - 6:56 pmSlow touch screen, no CD player if you dont get rear entertainment! We did not looking for size and comfort along with the grand kids some of the time. We like everything about the car except the slow tech. At least throw us some storage for music and books.

bulletproof - 2005 Honda Pilot
By cally - March 31 - 9:46 pmDid my homework and finally went with the pilot. The motor in this car is nothing short of amazing. Pulls a 4400 pound vehicle with amazing grace and manages 20 miles to the gallon. Does not have all the bells and whistles some of the competion does but with the dependebility and high resale I am thrilled to be a first time honda owner.

Lovin It! - 2004 Honda Pilot
By virgo - March 30 - 2:00 amI wanted an SUV for our family NOT a mini van! With three children and another on the way we figured it would be difficult to find one with the rooom we wanted. The Pilot is perfect! So roomy for the kids the Pilot seats 8 so the kids dont have an excuse to have to "touch" each other. Its sporty looking so its away from the mini van look. The gas mileage is great in this vehicle for an suv. No interior road noise or is at a minimum and is so smooth on the road....We also loved the fact that it had a 5 star safety rating! we love our pilot!

Experience - 2003 Honda Pilot
By David Carter - March 27 - 10:36 amWe have had a 2003 for 13 + years. We have nothing but good comments to make. We plan to buy a new one in 2017. The 2003 wear-well. Our experience make it wise to buy a 2017 model. We are having some difficulty choosing to sell it. It serves us well.
