Overview & Reviews
Since its launch for the 2003 model year, the Honda Pilot has helped shape the market for crossover SUVs with three rows of seating. Offering V6 power, respectable fuel economy, a comfortable ride, plenty of interior space and seven-to-eight-passenger seating, the Pilot is exactly the kind of vehicle that appeals to growing families who are leery of traditional minivans. Other crossover SUVs might be sportier to drive or more stylish on the inside, but Honda's three-row crossover appeals to your practical side and packs in a lot of functionality.
Choosing a Pilot is straightforward, as Honda packages equipment in a few basic trim levels rather than offering countless options. Regardless of the year, all Honda Pilots give you three useful rows of seating and lots of storage slots, though early models are smaller and aren't quite as accommodating for teenagers in the third row. Cargo capacity has also increased over the years.

By pedrocarcamo@outlook.com - May 4 - 3:30 amAt 14k miles, the car transmission is slippery and makes a knocking sound at 27mph. The dealer took it away from me to find a fix, it will take a week they said. Im hoping thats fixed since is an issue from the car, the car is brand new and only has 7 months.

LOVE OUR Honda Pilot - HIGHLY Recommend - 2004 Honda Pilot
By L Watson - April 30 - 10:00 amWe absolutley LOVE our Honda Pilot. We actually purchased it September 7, 2002 (right after they came out) so we were somewhat sceptical about purchasing a NEW model thinking the "kinks" probably needed to be worked out since it was a NEW MODEL vehicle. BUT, I can tell you, it is the GREATEST vehicle we have ever owned. We have two small children (under 4 years old) and it is GREAT as a family vehicle (without having to drive a mini-van)the comfort is GREAT, the room is GREAT, but we own the EX (without leather), so it doesnt have the "feel" of a luxury vehicle (like a Lexus, etc.), it does "feel" like a Honda on the interior.

One Piece of Crap - 2003 Honda Pilot
By jlucia - April 27 - 2:00 amSave your money and buy another SUV. I thought I was purchasing a quality vehicle. After signing the papers I found out the samll things are driving me crazy. Try to hang you dry cleaning in the back with no hanging hooks. Try and use the roof rack with no cross bars. Why would they not put a simple compus in the car. For the money it is a piece of crap. The steering wheel does not move enough. Put stuff in the center box and watch it fall our when you open the door for the cell phone. The designer of the SUV needs to take some lessons from Americans. Try to put something through the back door window, which does not open.

By annie - April 22 - 11:53 amI have no complaints about this vehicle, I recently went on a long distance vacation (2,000 miles), and got 25 miles per gallon on the highway using the cruise control. My two teenage children went with me and were quite comfortable in the vehicle.

Glad to be back in a Honda - 2007 Honda Pilot
By Capt Bunny - April 22 - 5:26 amWe had a 2002 Trailblazer and had transmission problems. That is why I went back to Honda. I have a 1990 Accord with 200,000 plus and no major mechanical problems. We love the design and interior and all the standard features of the pilot. The price was very good compared to other manufacturers.

Ready for take=off - 2003 Honda Pilot
By diggie - April 22 - 2:00 amThis SUV rides like a champ-floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee. Feels like Im in a sedan with smooth automatic transmission and comfortable seats. Gages are all easily reachable, and the steering wheel has radio controll buttons to keep my eyes on the road.

A great vehicle - 2003 Honda Pilot
By symon - April 22 - 2:00 amThis is truly a great car. Purchased 12/27/02 by going online at Honda.com to find dealers and got a response back from this dealer in Mobile, AL within 15 minutes and 10 minutes later made a deal. We saved a considerable amount over the asking prices of our local dealership and another closer dealer - ws below MSRP (local dealer did not respond to e-mail until after the beginning of Jan.) We took a check the next day and picked up our new Pilot. They also offer many extras when you have service done. It might be worth the drive from Pensacola to Mobile to get the service taken care of.
