WOW! - 2003 Honda Pilot
By kdp - November 24 - 10:00 amJust what I was looking for. Waited four months for order to be fulfilled, but it was well worth the wait. Honda reliability with a ride that my wife describes as "like a big limo." The truck for people who arent neccessarily "truck people." Who needs a minivan? Not me; Im to young to die...

Smart Buy - 2003 Honda Pilot
By larryhat - November 6 - 2:00 amAfter looking at the top rated modes in this category of SUVs, we narrowed our pick to the Pilot, Highlander, and believe it or not, the Hundai Sante Fe. We eliminated the Hundai because of the interior plastic feel. But when you compare apples to apples on the othere two, the Pilot was at least equal and much less money than the Toyota. At 26k the Toyota come with a 4 cyl engine and 2 wheel drive. At the same price the Pilot comes with a 6 cyl engine and all wheel drive. After only a month, we love this vehicle.

Cant wait to buy a new one! - 2003 Honda Pilot
By Peyton - November 1 - 11:44 amMy family and I absolutely LOVE this SUV! Its affordable and reliable, which is what I need with two young children. I bought my Pilot used, but in my opinion, Hondas dont start running good until they reach 60 k miles! One more year and I will trade my old Pilot in for an 07. I cant wait! It has plenty of room to haul my kids friends around in, plus some. It travels good, rides great, and I just love it! I would highly recommend the Pilot to anyone with a small or large family. Its just the right size no matter what youre doing.

Ultimate Family Car/Suv/Van - 2003 Honda Pilot
By Vikas - November 1 - 10:00 amAfter looking almost all kind of SUV in particular Acura MDX, ML320, X5 we finally decided for Pilot. Of course my first choice was Acura MDX but was too expensive, and luckily I got all standard features in Pilot with $10,000- 00 less. . During heavy snow this year in NY< I was driving all time and did not even had to lock differential. I even drove intentionally to parking lots that were not cleaned afer heavy snow, and due to my surprise did not stuck anywhere. Also after rigrous negotiation did not pay SINGLE dollar extra. Let me know if you are looking for right price and I will give you name of sales person at Planet Honda in NJ.

unable to fix noise - 2003 Honda Pilot
By W. H. McCullough,M.D - October 27 - 10:00 amMy Pilot has a "clanking" noise in the right rear wheel area when on rough roads. I have taken it to both the local dealers. One replaced the right rear drive shaft, to no avail. The other dealer also documented the noise and called Honda. He was told that "all Pilots make this noise." It is in the trailing arm, they say. I wish one of their higher-ups could drive it! I would certainly be surprised, if they all made this noise!

We love it! - 2003 Honda Pilot
By rockiedave - September 25 - 2:00 amWe recently bought our Pilot and were lucky that the day we called, they had one that was available! We paid MSRP, but when I compared that to what I could buy an Explorer for, it made my decision easy. The prices were very similar, but the Pilot is a Honda. We love everything about the car from the 8 passenger seating, to the DVD entertainment system in the back. A lot of reviewers feel that the styling is not very agressive, but I think it looks great! Acceleration is good and the sound system is powerful and includes a subwoofer.

Near Perfect - 2003 Honda Pilot
By chazmeister - September 25 - 2:00 amAfter reading a lot of good reviews on Honda Pilot, we finally purchased one. This SUV is everything the reviews said it was: it has good fit & finish, ideal size, nice looks and excellent ride. Having driven Hondas in the past, I do not anticipate any reliability problems down the road.

Great Vehicle - 2003 Honda Pilot
By sharkzbyte - September 20 - 10:00 amMy wife wanted a 3rd row seat to haul the kids(ours and their friends), but didnt want a minivan, or stationwagon. I wanted something with as much horsepower as possible. After exhaustive research, and numerous test drives, the Honda Pilot seemed to be the clear choice. After 8 months, I dont have any complaints. The ride is comfortable, the looks are just right, and I love to pass sportscars on the freeway! Great Vehicle!

Depreciation rated too high - 2003 Honda Pilot
By Susan - September 17 - 8:31 amChosen for the 3rd row seat and fun to drive, the Honda Pilot is a great family car. The feelings of safety and power are comforting. The ventilation is strange-if one window is open, the air pressure is overwhelming and more windows need to be opened to compensate. Only one other problem in 3 years- the front row passenger side door lock stopped working with the remote. Sold with only 34,000 miles after 3 years, I got only half what I paid for it, and it was in good shape.
