Model Overview:

Since its launch for the 2003 model year, the Honda Pilot has helped shape the market for crossover SUVs with three rows of seating. Offering V6 power, respectable fuel economy, a comfortable ride, plenty of interior space and seven-to-eight-passenger seating, the Pilot is exactly the kind of vehicle that appeals to growing families who are leery of traditional minivans. Other crossover SUVs might be sportier to drive or more stylish on the inside, but Honda's three-row crossover appeals to your practical side and packs in a lot of functionality.

Choosing a Pilot is straightforward, as Honda packages equipment in a few basic trim levels rather than offering countless options. Regardless of the year, all Honda Pilots give you three useful rows of seating and lots of storage slots, though early models are smaller and aren't quite as accommodating for teenagers in the third row. Cargo capacity has also increased over the years.

  • A perfect family vehicle - 2003 Honda Pilot

I just got my Pilot yesterday. Its a great family vehicle with features that please both my wife and I. I love the 240hp and its output. I took it out on the freeway and it had great pickup, visibility and manovourability. My wife thinks that it is easy to drive/park and that it can carry our child and a bunch of his friends for outings. My son loves the panoramic view and the space in the very rear seat is more than enough for his age (5) . Although we paid full price for the SUV we were lucky to get the black color so soon. Right now there is a two month wait, but the dealership really worked to get ours in a few weeks. Sure to be a favorite for families.

The car in general is great, especially if you get all the upgrades and only chose the Saddle color for the interior. The leather will as I have seen in many 03 pilots lose its shape and have lines on the sides. The saddle color will minimize this visible lines. The Pilot is deffinitly not sound proof and you will hear the wind hit the windshield. Apart from that I really love this SUV

Ive had my Pilot for three months and have been very happy. I love the functional interior and large cargo area. I find that it meets all my needs and the EX Black is better looking then most of the other colors IMHO.

  • Great SUV - 2005 Honda Pilot

I bought a Sage EX-L. It has been a great vehicle. Road and engine noise is minimal. The new standard CD changer and glass power moonroof makes it even better. It is like an MDX for less and it runs on regular unleaded. I would definitely recommend it!

Love this truck. Great safety features. Great ride. Very powerful. Someone previous mentioned problems over 70 which we did not encounter. Round trip out of state doing approx. 80 mph the whole time and was smooth as if we were doing 20mph.

  • The Best SUV/Crossover - 2003 Honda Pilot

Honda took their time in producing this vehicle for good reason. They cover all bases with value, performance, comfort, style, safety, and reliability. Excellent ergonomics and storage space. Smooth ride and excellent brakes and handling. Sure handling on wet roads.

  • ml320 - 2003 Honda Pilot

My wife and I have owned a lot of cars and this one is the best! We had an ML320(junk mobile) before the Pilot and the Pilot was $10,000 less and better in every way.

  • I Love the Pilot, yet got a major lemon. - 2007 Honda Pilot
    By -

I truly Love driving the Pilot. However, its been back to the Dealership at least 8-10 times, for numerous problems. Seven times for the same problem. I worked for Honda as the Finance Director for 15 years, and brought in hundreds of Customers.Im in the process of going directly to the top of Honda for help. The problems I have had,are unbelievable. Ive owned 5 Hondas and Love them, my commuter has 162,000 miles, and I Love the Pilot. However, I will NOT KEEP THIS CAR. Things happen, and WOW, I have had too many problems to write about. They say they cant duplicate the problem? I have 2 major problems, and, Ive had 7- 8 others, they fixed. However, the 2 Major PROBLEMS THEY CANT?

  • Great Value - 2006 Honda Pilot

The rear entertainment system is great - the kids love it. For the price this has a lot of standard features that are included. We hope to keep it for a long time. Lots of head and leg room for tall people in the front.
