Model Overview:

Since its launch for the 2003 model year, the Honda Pilot has helped shape the market for crossover SUVs with three rows of seating. Offering V6 power, respectable fuel economy, a comfortable ride, plenty of interior space and seven-to-eight-passenger seating, the Pilot is exactly the kind of vehicle that appeals to growing families who are leery of traditional minivans. Other crossover SUVs might be sportier to drive or more stylish on the inside, but Honda's three-row crossover appeals to your practical side and packs in a lot of functionality.

Choosing a Pilot is straightforward, as Honda packages equipment in a few basic trim levels rather than offering countless options. Regardless of the year, all Honda Pilots give you three useful rows of seating and lots of storage slots, though early models are smaller and aren't quite as accommodating for teenagers in the third row. Cargo capacity has also increased over the years.

I love love love my pie in the sky. But everytime I try to put it in gear I accidentally turn on the wipers because their so close and similiar. Also I would love to see Honda sell some beautilful colors in their car line. Im use to american muscle cars and love the brighter and hotter colors.

We bought this car and immediately took a long trip. We loved it. It hugged the road and was very comfortable to ride in. We had it packed with Christmas gifts and had lots of room left.

Rides beautifully, feels solid. Love the electronics, power liftgate, sound system. Acceleration seems fine for a vehicle of this size. Have not noticed a consistent road noise problem, occasional loud tires on certain pavement types. Only real complaint is seats-too aggressively bolstered in back, near juncture with seat back. Either need less aggressive bolstering there, or perhaps seat should be wider in back. Still experimenting with cushions/alterations of upholstery.

This is my third Honda and I am thoroughly pleased with my decision to keep with the Honda brand. I whittled down the list to the Volvo XC90 and the Pilot, with my wife going for the Volvo. Because I would be driving and paying for it, I decided that the Pilot would be best in value and function. After I bought the car, she concurs with my decision. If you look at the Volvo reviews, it sure seems that there are alot of problems with the car. I really enjoy driving my Pilot. We feel safe not only from collision, but also because of the reliability. The smooth and quiet ride makes my long commute much more bearable.

Wonderful design, interior is classy, and the Navagation System is much improved. The 2016 Honda Pilot is a winner in every way. If you really want to enjoy this vehicle you should purchase the two top models Touring or Touring Elite....a little pricy but worth it with the upgrades.

    1. There is not enough legroom for the third seat. Even the second row does not move forward so to adjust the legrooms between 2nd and third seats 2. The wheel base is not so wide which is essential for SUVs whose Center of gravity is generally eccentric. 3. There should be heated seats 4. Front passanger seat should be automatic 5. The vehicle should have Trip computer 6. Very very expensive (Dealer was asking $500.00 more than MSRP) 7. Dealer negotiatation is a pain. It is too much for a new SUV which is yet to prove itself on the SUV race. 8. The left foot rest location is under the parking brake making you

  • I need it, loved it & hate it - 2016 Honda Pilot

I need this car for haul my growing family around. I knew the good and bad before purchasing & for a while I loved it because it is very functional. Until the transmission (6-speed) gave temperature warning in the middle of a camping trip. I will be taking it in soon to get it checked out. The goods: plenty of seats, MPG is awesome compare to other vehicle in class & all the technology is good even for an EX model. The bads: infotainment screen is useless in direct sunlight, touch screen is very hard to use while the car is moving, armrest is uncomfortable, Bluetooth takes SIX buttons push to change connected phone, voice command is none functional, very hard to jump start because engine cover & placement of the battery. Mother of all problems, the transmission overheats!!!!

  • Should be your first choice - 2006 Honda Pilot

So far the vehicle is fantastic. I bought it to replace an 04 F-150. The F- 150 has a lot of head room and space in the front row seats. I looked at Highlanders, 4-Runners, Explorers, PAthfinders, Muranos, and Outbacks. None have teh head room of the Pilot. The ride is very quiet and very smooth. The V-6 is peppier then I thought and the transmission tied to it is very smooth as well. The ownership, so far (2 weeks), has been great. I drove the vehicle to downtown the first day I had it and it handled the downtown driving with great ease. If you are looking for a practical, fun-to-drive SUV, with a lot of standard features and a comfortably smooth ride...look no further

Just bought my first Honda, the Pilot is surprisingly larger inside then it appears from the outside. Almost bought GMC Acadia preferred outside looks more on Acadia but was concerned about resale value. Very impressed with design of interior. Blue accent light, lights up front at night. The rear DVD and heating/cooling controls from both dashboard and rear controls. DVD also has a detachable remote.

I had never owned an SUV before. I dont generally like the truckish ride and feeling like the vehicle is going to roll over. The Pilot has a nice, car-like ride, and the interior is comfortable and spacious. The new leather also smells nice.
