Model Overview:

Since its launch for the 2003 model year, the Honda Pilot has helped shape the market for crossover SUVs with three rows of seating. Offering V6 power, respectable fuel economy, a comfortable ride, plenty of interior space and seven-to-eight-passenger seating, the Pilot is exactly the kind of vehicle that appeals to growing families who are leery of traditional minivans. Other crossover SUVs might be sportier to drive or more stylish on the inside, but Honda's three-row crossover appeals to your practical side and packs in a lot of functionality.

Choosing a Pilot is straightforward, as Honda packages equipment in a few basic trim levels rather than offering countless options. Regardless of the year, all Honda Pilots give you three useful rows of seating and lots of storage slots, though early models are smaller and aren't quite as accommodating for teenagers in the third row. Cargo capacity has also increased over the years.

  • Best Car ever owned - 2004 Honda Pilot

My husband and I researched all the Suvs available and found that the Honda Pilot meet and exceeded all that we were looking for. We bought it new in Oct of 2002 before anyone had even heard about it and continue to love to drive it just like the day we bought it. It travels very well, its comfortable seating makes long road trips easy to handle not to mention the ease in use of all the controls for the entertainment system Etc. We tell everyone what a great SUV it is and have never had such a great time in a new car/truck like we are having with the pilot. Thanks for making a great SUV Honda.

This is a great car, it has a cup holder and places to put your cell phone everywhere you look. Drives just like a car.

Just bought this a couple weeks ago, but we absolutely love it. Good interior room, plenty of power, very comfortable and very quiet. Too many good features to list. The fit and finish is very good. The more I drive it the more I like it.

  • Best Motor Vehicle in the world - 2006 Honda Pilot

This is perhaps the Best Vehicle I have ever driven in. We always had a Mercedes Benz when I was Younger and I know the Best. It of course was always the Mercedes Benz. Guess who just beat them out of the Best Car in the World Club. You got it! The Honda Pilot. Without hesitation Honda has built a Motor Car second to none, The Price, the quality and the style make Honda the Leader now. I sorry, but Mercedes has a over priced as does BMW or any in the same Class as the Honda for little to offer but a hefty price tag

  • A Great & Practical SUV! - 2004 Honda Pilot

I am 30 days into driving my new Pilot and I love it! With three kids it gives me the flexibility to load all of them with friends at anytime. The DVD w/headphones allows me to listen to my favorite CDs or to actually talk with my wife! I especially appreciate the width and headroom...very comfortable. The interior design is well thought out and of high quality. Though not the most exciting exterior design it provides great visibility while driving. An excellent choice for a family man who wants something enjoyable to drive yet needs the flexibility to drive the cub scout den, baseball team, soccer club......

  • Steeting Wheel Vibration(s) - 2003 Honda Pilot
    By -

We have come to "like" the car, but after numerous attempts to figure out what causes the wheel vibration - I am about to loose it. New Tires, 6 wheel balanceing efforts (with Hunters 3-way Road Force machine) all to no avail. Smooth as can be until 70mph and then hold on for any increase speeds after that. Other - overall - reliability has been poor - heater blower, two vents, front strut have all needed replcaing.......this is not up to Hondas standards

This is my first time driving an SUV and Ill never go back to a car. Ive owned Honda Accords and have loved driving them. But after being up so high now I dont feel as comfortable when I get into a car. My husband and I are thoroughly pleased with the entire vehicle inside and out.

  • Honda Pilot 2004 EXL-RES - 2004 Honda Pilot

Love the car. Drives well. Comfortable Enterior. Not Great on Fuel Milage (No SUV is). Lots of room for family (3 kids) and friends. Needs more protection on door panels from dings/scratches (already got first dings along passenger door on trim plate only after 1 week). Gear shift should be on floor - hard to shift. Wipers turn on backwards (down instead of up). Roof rack end piece flew off on freeway. Rattle in right front dash. Quality may not be as high as on early Hondas.

  • Excellent choice for large families!!! - 2005 Honda Pilot

After recent snow and a steep driveway I realized I need something more powerful. I fell in love with the Pilot and its perfect. It also holds all 3 of my kids (2 in carseats) extremely well. We are now even trying for our 4th since we have plenty of room for one!! I highly recommend this SUV for anyone who needs a reliable car in snow and space for kids.

  • 2006 Pilot a definitel WINNER! - 2006 Honda Pilot

I have recently taken delivery of a new 06 Honda Pilot EX-L with Navi. I previously owned an 03 EX-L model. There is little comparison between the two. The 06 is significantly more refined in so many ways. Leather, Exterior Styling, Interior Design, Sound System and over all ride. Honda has hit a home run with the car.
