Model Overview:

Since its launch for the 2003 model year, the Honda Pilot has helped shape the market for crossover SUVs with three rows of seating. Offering V6 power, respectable fuel economy, a comfortable ride, plenty of interior space and seven-to-eight-passenger seating, the Pilot is exactly the kind of vehicle that appeals to growing families who are leery of traditional minivans. Other crossover SUVs might be sportier to drive or more stylish on the inside, but Honda's three-row crossover appeals to your practical side and packs in a lot of functionality.

Choosing a Pilot is straightforward, as Honda packages equipment in a few basic trim levels rather than offering countless options. Regardless of the year, all Honda Pilots give you three useful rows of seating and lots of storage slots, though early models are smaller and aren't quite as accommodating for teenagers in the third row. Cargo capacity has also increased over the years.

  • Two Pilots in my Life - One is a Vehicle - 2006 Honda Pilot

After a very thorough research effort, and test driving several vehicles, we decided the best fit and value for our family was the Honda Pilot. The decision was right on! The Pilot offers more amenities, greater comfort, and superior styling to the Highlander and others considered for this purchase. The ride, response, features and overall quality of the Pilot make it a "First Choice" natural. When you can please both the male and the female appetites for a vehicle, you must have a Honda Pilot!

  • Better than my Camry - 2005 Honda Pilot

My husband leased this car in November, but only got to drive it home from the dealership, because I love driving it! It replaces a VW Passat wagon (which I HATED!), and now he uses the Camry instead of me. After a few days adjusting to the "feel" of the car, I have not had any problems dealing with handling, manuevering, etc. It rides like a giant car, not like a truck. With 2 young children, the DVD player is a godsend! It kept them occupied for the 5+ hour ride from Philly to Pittsburgh and back one recent weekend.

  • Great SUV! - 2006 Honda Pilot

Pros: Space, power, storage, safety. Cons: mileage, non-optional 3rd row, non opening back glass I bought a 2006 Pilot EX 2WD almost 1.5 months ago and have put ~ 1200 miles on it. Ive done a pretty even mix of highway and city driving and a good mix with the A/C and without. When I decided I wanted to trade in my 99 Nissan Sentra I knew I wanted something that could easily haul around 2 big dogs and possibly 3. The 3 in the running ended up being the Toyota Highlander, Saturn Vue and the Pilot. To be honest after only a few miles I knew a Pilot was what I wanted. The others just didnt compare. It handles well and came with a lot of standard things other SUVs didnt have.

An all around outstanding SUV. Looked at several other SUVs ranging from the domestics and so-called hi-end european models. The Pilot won hands down for my wife and myself. It has a wonderful balance of performance and luxury with an emphasis on relaibility. We also own a Honda CR-V and rely heavily upon its reliability and durability.

  • Enjoying so far - 2010 Honda Pilot
    By -

I purchased this vehicle for my wife. So far she loves it very much. We dont see the problem of pulling to right. Although I can feel this is a solidly built vehicle, some cheap interior parts do ruffle on bumpy road. The road noise is pronounced. For short person (my wife is 53), the blind spot is big.

The honda pilot is excellent. Very smooth and not bumpy compared to most SUVs. Very roomy and so easy to fold the seats down to make more room. Very fun to drive.

  • Yes a Honda SUV - 2004 Honda Pilot

Same quality as the rest of the honda fleet. Great comfort and workmanship. Best all around car I have had. I call it a car because I never intend to go off road. I just like the fit of a SUV because I am 64" tall
