Model Overview:

Since its launch for the 2003 model year, the Honda Pilot has helped shape the market for crossover SUVs with three rows of seating. Offering V6 power, respectable fuel economy, a comfortable ride, plenty of interior space and seven-to-eight-passenger seating, the Pilot is exactly the kind of vehicle that appeals to growing families who are leery of traditional minivans. Other crossover SUVs might be sportier to drive or more stylish on the inside, but Honda's three-row crossover appeals to your practical side and packs in a lot of functionality.

Choosing a Pilot is straightforward, as Honda packages equipment in a few basic trim levels rather than offering countless options. Regardless of the year, all Honda Pilots give you three useful rows of seating and lots of storage slots, though early models are smaller and aren't quite as accommodating for teenagers in the third row. Cargo capacity has also increased over the years.

  • Top of the line SUV - 2006 Honda Pilot

Great vehicle. Gives comfort a whole new name. Ive always driven compact cars before this purchase. I had no idea what I was missing. It will be so great not to have to rent a traveling car for our next trip. The DVD system should keep the kids quiet! This SUV is well worth the price. You cant beat a Honda. This is going to be my car for a long time.

  • Finally, not a lemon! - 2006 Honda Pilot

I traded in a 2006 Chevy Equinox with 2600 miles on it for this Pilot. My Equinox was a lemon. So totally different between the two! I am in heaven! I love my Pilot!

Reliability, Quality, Functionallity, and fuel economy just about says it all. Honda makes a great product so it was an easy decision to buy the Pilot when I saw impeccable build quality, a vehicle that seats 8 and gets 17 mgp in the city. The size of the Pilot is perfect. My wife and I drove from Southern California to BC Canada over the summer and we had room for everything. The final fuel consumption for the trip, 22 MPG. Bottomline, we love the Pilot. It beats all others hands down. Thanks Honda :))

Handles great, sound system with the exl-res dvd system is fantastic because you get the 510 Watt premium sound system with it as opposed to dealer installed dvd system. Also if you you join aaa you get a great price from participating dealerships. Tried it with and without them and automatically got the best price. 34,000 for exl-res. Yes I know you can get a stripped down lx model a lot cheaper but it was worth every Penny. Was still to cheap to spend for touring model with navi, I always have my tom tom gps to fall back on LOL.

  • A/V and transmission problems - 2016 Honda Pilot
    By -

I really love this vehicle, but have had some major issues that are starting to cast a shadow over the reliability of Honda. I feel that they pushed to get this vehicle on the market to fast. There are still major bugs that need to be worked out. My touch screen panel blacked out on me at about 3,000 miles. I also have had the transmission "chirping" problem due to radiator fluid leaking into the internal trans cooler. They replaced the transmission and flushed the coolant system. Was supposed to pick it up after two weeks...then it wouldnt start. Was told that they had to replace the whole push button transmission module. Finally got my car back after 21 days, most of this time was "waiting for parts" which I feel is ridiculous with they way things are overnighted now days.

  • Worst suv I have bought - 2007 Honda Pilot

Very little power and not enough joy in driving the vehicle, way too much money for the fit and finish of it when you really look at it up close.

  • Supreme SUV - 2004 Honda Pilot

Actually we bought the vehicle Jul 02. Its a fantastic SUV. We just recently returned fm San Francisco back to San Diego and averaged 22.5 miles to the gallon. One time we got 23.5! In and around town approximately 17+. Its smooth riding and a pleasure to drive. No problems so far! Honda gets you in before anything has a chance to start.

  • Price and Quaiity = Honda Pilot - 2004 Honda Pilot
    By -

I put a lot of miles on this car in a short amount of time. Quality is very inpressive and reliabiity cannot be matched. I have owned three different SUVs and the Honda was the least expensive and by far the best. The only downside to the Honda Pilot is the road noise. We plan on trading for another Honda Pilot.
