  Best mid SUV for the money - 2004 Honda Pilot

  After owning a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero we wanted something less truck-like. At the end we had to decide between the Mitsubishi Endeavor and the Honda Pilot, both cars drive great, in fact the endeavor drives a little better but we ended up with the Pilot because it can seat up to 8 (endeavor seats 5) and it has Hondas high resale value, unfortunatelly our Mitsubishi Montero depreciated enormously. Up to now we are happy with the Pilot and for the money its the best deal around in semi-luxury SUVs.

  Solid Performance for the money - 2004 Honda Pilot

  I purchased my Honda Pilot after quite a bit of research. I looked at the others. For my money, this vehicle was the best choice. The reliability, comfort of ride, and standard equipment put it far ahead of the other competitive vehicles in its class. Further, the resale value of this vehicle is hard to beat, and the reliability allows you to keep the vehicle well after it is paid for or until you are ready for a change. The only changes I would have liked in regard to my model was a folding flat second seat and a sun roof, which I believe are both now currently available. This is a solid, spacious and reliable vehicle that will last.

  Good dependable transportation - 2004 Honda Pilot

  Nice size, but with 8 seats, not enough space behind. Feels safe while driving even on a rainy day. Fast passing speed. Good stereo (didnt came with the 6 CD player, until 05. Nice color silver with gray leather. Wife is in love with her SUV. Might last 10 years in good shape.

  Love My Pilot - 2004 Honda Pilot

  Ive had my Pilot for three months and have fallen in love with its handling, comfort and features. In those three months, living in Upstate NY, Ive been able to experience springlike driving conditions back in November, to downright ugly (its -16 degrees right now) winter conditions and Ive been impressed with both.

  Inconsistent manufacturing quality - 2004 Honda Pilot

  After looking at other peoples reviews it appears that Hondas quality control is on this vehicle is poor. Overall the Pilot has nice features and is a practical SUV. But while others have raved about the power and the mileage, my Pilot has not excelled on either. When it was brand new it had good power and got about 19 mpg (mixed city/hwy) but at about 25,000 miles it started having problems with both. Mileage is now 15- 16mpg and power is poor. It sputters and loses speed at times on a level hwy. I have taken it to the dealer numerous times, and the Honda district service rep has looked at it. According to them everything is "normal". I have owned many Hondas, but this may be my last.

  Easy to drive, feels and looks good. Pretty good on fuel. Lots of compartments and cup holders for every little thing. Nice sounding stereo/CD system and having the controls on the steering wheel is great Its fun to drive, not to big. Spacious second and third row. Im lovin it!!

  Very good reliable vehicle. Never had any problems. Smooth riding. Pull my 21 foot boat up the boat landing like it is not even there. Love this vehicle.

  The Pilot drives like the Accord. It is easy to handle, and has a smooth ride (not bouncy like other SUVs). Weve purchased other SUVs in the past that were difficult to drive over 60 on the interstate. The Pilot manages easy and is enjoyable to drive.

  Great vehicle -- very versatile, fun to drive, very good mileage. Interior fit/finish could be a bit better, but this SUV is an excellent buy.
