Overview & Reviews
Since its launch for the 2003 model year, the Honda Pilot has helped shape the market for crossover SUVs with three rows of seating. Offering V6 power, respectable fuel economy, a comfortable ride, plenty of interior space and seven-to-eight-passenger seating, the Pilot is exactly the kind of vehicle that appeals to growing families who are leery of traditional minivans. Other crossover SUVs might be sportier to drive or more stylish on the inside, but Honda's three-row crossover appeals to your practical side and packs in a lot of functionality.
Choosing a Pilot is straightforward, as Honda packages equipment in a few basic trim levels rather than offering countless options. Regardless of the year, all Honda Pilots give you three useful rows of seating and lots of storage slots, though early models are smaller and aren't quite as accommodating for teenagers in the third row. Cargo capacity has also increased over the years.

Hagerstown Honda - 2016 Honda Pilot
By Eric J. Rosenthal - July 26 - 3:56 pmGreat car, for a good price. The back up camera and Bluetooth are awesome. Im not a fan of the touch screen. Its hard to use and very confusing. But, overall I love Hondas.

Infotainment system is a disgrace! - 2016 Honda Pilot
By Dean Owens - July 25 - 1:24 am1. No Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. Honda wont even tell owners why their $40,000+ flagship doesnt have these features when their Accord & Civic do. Honda ignores all inquiries regarding this. 2. Incoming or outgoing Bluetooth phone calls are dropped if either right or rear camera is started; as in lane change or reverse gear. 3. Bluetooth voice commands are very unreliable. 4. USB audio fails to start 1 out of 4 times on ignition turn on. 5. USB audio status not saved; restarts at 1st folder if ignition turned off. 6. USB audio has no Pause or Play buttons.

Great SUV, solid performer. - 2009 Honda Pilot
By mistercoffee1 - July 24 - 2:46 pmAfter two road trips and a full tank of gas, Im very happy. With 3-4 adults and 2 kids, the car accelerates well for the type of car it is, and has some good climbing power. Very smooth and very quiet. As far as cylinders shutting off, you can feel it only if youre really paying attention and looking for it - otherwise pretty seamless. After a few test drives as well as an additional 300 miles in, Id say the braking feels as responsive as you need it to be - smooth when you need a gradual stop, and firm when you need to shed speed quickly. I feel very safe and comfortable in this car, yet its a great pleasure to drive. Compares favorably against the Lambdas (Acadia, Outlook, etc).

Great but sound & 4WD could be better - 2003 Honda Pilot
By pilot_pilot - July 24 - 2:00 amGreat vehicle; but radio/CD sound could be better. Honda Pilot speakers deliver very uneven frequency response (big dip around 500 Hz, followed by a big peak around 1 KHz, judging by my spectrum analyzer). My 96 Dodge Grand Caravan has much better sound (factory Infinity speaker system). Hondas 4WD system seems designed to help Pilot get unstuck when needed, but under most circumstances, this is a FWD vehicle (supposedly delivering better mileage).

Beats a Volvo V70 - 2006 Honda Pilot
By Bonnie - July 17 - 7:30 pmI have finally taken my Pilot EX-L w/entertainment system on a road trip and Im very pleased. Mileage with cruise on most of the time was 24 mpg. The trip was 6 hours long, I only stopped once and was very comfy the whole time. I loved the XM radio and 6 CD stereo on this trip and all the space in the vehicle made placement of maps, drinks, cell phone and snacks very convenient. I had to dodge road debris several times at 80 mph and the Pilot handled beautifuly. It also rained on this trip and the handling was no different. I traded in my 2000 Volvo V70 for this and I only wish I had done it sooner. My husband drives a 2000 Accord and we are convinced Honda is the way to go.

Best SUV ever purchased! - 2009 Honda Pilot
By shoil cobra - July 16 - 2:30 amI purchased the 2009 Honda Pilot touring suv with navigation system. It feels more solid and quieter then the 2008 Toyota Highlander. It also has decent power delivery. After just few weeks of this purchase I notice that this Honda Pilot is giving better gas mileage then my previous car which was the 2007 Camry V6(traded in for Pilot). No car maker can beat Honda/Acura engineering!

Love our Pilot! - 2005 Honda Pilot
By sg101 - July 15 - 2:40 pmWe took our new Pilot for a weekend trip, and it was so nice to have. The ride is smooth and there was plenty of seating and storage. Passengers can easily get in and out of the Pilot, and it sat 7 adults comfortably. The middle console easily held our portable DVD player since we didnt purchase the Entertainment package, and it has plenty of outlets. This is the nicest vehicle we have ever owned.

My new baby. - 2016 Honda Pilot
By mike barley - July 9 - 9:05 pmI just bought this Pilot 6/15 and to this Pilot has surpassed my expectations. The ride is both very smooth with very little outside noise. The best part is that my grandchildren love it as it is so roomy, each gets their little section..

Love our Honda Pilot - 2004 Honda Pilot
By Alias2 - July 6 - 2:00 amAfter almost a year research purchased a Honda Pilot. Our choice was between Volvo, Honda and Nissan. It is a great SUV/Car to drive. My wife loves it, very easy to put our 16 months baby into her sit. We just had a bad experience with the dealer. Next time I rather to pay more and go somewhere else. Thanks
