Since its launch for the 2003 model year, the Honda Pilot has helped shape the market for crossover SUVs with three rows of seating. Offering V6 power, respectable fuel economy, a comfortable ride, plenty of interior space and seven-to-eight-passenger seating, the Pilot is exactly the kind of vehicle that appeals to growing families who are leery of traditional minivans. Other crossover SUVs might be sportier to drive or more stylish on the inside, but Honda's three-row crossover appeals to your practical side and packs in a lot of functionality.
Choosing a Pilot is straightforward, as Honda packages equipment in a few basic trim levels rather than offering countless options. Regardless of the year, all Honda Pilots give you three useful rows of seating and lots of storage slots, though early models are smaller and aren't quite as accommodating for teenagers in the third row. Cargo capacity has also increased over the years.

Lots of options for the value! - 2016 Honda Pilot
By Paul Kif - October 2 - 6:14 amReally like this 2016 Honda Pilot Elite AWD. Drives really smooth and quiet. Little bumps on the road almost fully observed. Car has more options than my wifes Acura MDX 2014 that cost 3k more. Some people may not like some new options like no transmission lever to change from Parking to Drive or Neutral or rear. I love it, it is very futuristic. Card drives without any issues, sound system is great. I had car for over 30 days and I like everything about it. It looks very manly in Black on Black color. Car is very fast and does not feel big.

Great SUV - 2005 Honda Pilot
By Frank - October 1 - 8:43 amI had a CR-V for the past 5 years and loved it. When it was time for a new SUV I was ready for another CR-V but test drove the pilot and bought it the same day. I have had it for 5 weeks and no problems. I can tow my 2 kayak traler with no problems. I have also taken it on the beach and it handles well. My only complaint are the tires. They could have been more agressive.

By ken003 - September 30 - 2:00 amExpect exactly what Honda promised with this vehicle. A wide, solid, roomy and reliable car-based SUV. No flash here but lots of value. Mediocre gas mileage, good sound system and high residual value. Dont expect to take on any z-4s through the curves but will likely quash most other mid- size SUVs with its standard features. The large "P" is however for practicality rather than passion. Enjoy!

Snow - 2004 Honda Pilot
By redford - September 30 - 2:00 amIt Just Snowed 18 Inches here in the North East And I did not Have my drive way cleared. No Need to. The Pilot handeled the snow with ease. Even my wife hade an easy time driving it in the snow. She back down into the yard, by mistake but no problems, she drove right out. I was amazed. I have been snow plowing for 3 years and that thing handeled the snow better than any truck I drove.

Top suv under 40K - 2016 Honda Pilot
By Brandon - September 26 - 4:39 amPilot ex-l is a fantastic vehicle. You will not find a comparable suv in this price range (under 40k). The highlander is close but the features of the pilot ex-l are much greater than the comparable trimmed highlander.

By SUVguy - September 23 - 6:30 pmThis is my first SUV - have only driven sedans until now. Was amazed how the Pilot handles like a car, despite its 4400 lbs! It does seem big behind the wheel, but thats because of its height -- and its not too big to handle -- same length as my old Accord. It gives an unbelievably smooth ride on the highway, and I feel very safe in it. Despite some reviews/reviewers, I love the styling of the exterior. The interior is beautiful too. I am biased toward Hondas, and this Pilot isnt likely to change my mind on that...
