Overview & Reviews
Leather-equipped EX models get heated seats and side mirrors as standard equipment. Honda has improved the navigation system this year with a larger database, and all models have improved walk-in accessibility to the third-row seat. All Hondas have a seatbelt reminder system added for 2004.
- Roomy interior with eight-passenger seating, versatile storage and cargo-hauling abilities, many standard features, comfortable ride.
- Mediocre towing capacity, feels big behind the wheel.

Not Bad - 2004 Honda Pilot
By diamondmen - May 13 - 11:04 amI bought this vehicle used from auction, it is a basic EX, and impressed with the room inside, I dont like the shifter, doors should lock automaticly when gear in drive and should unlock when parked. I liked the third seat, it is somewhat comfy and folds nicely. Typical honda built with lots of plastic (pampered myself with german cars forever) but functional. I would like the ride to be more connected to the road and have a middle dash shifter. Couldnt try for MPG yet but it seem to guzzle.

Great suv - 2004 Honda Pilot
By k tyer - May 8 - 9:13 pmThis vehicle is the best suv weve owned. Have had suburbans and vans none can touch this. Fit and finish is superb. Only small complaint is gas mileage is not as good as advertised, as with all cars!! Tight fit for 7, but o.k. for 5 folks.

Love my honda pilot - 2004 Honda Pilot
By Moises - May 6 - 9:22 pmI got a pilot for the the third row seat, but after driving it, i knew it was the right pick. The way it drove it was awesome. Will buy another one in a heart beat. Might not have the looks but I love it the same. Once you drive it you see why it is the one for you.

By bburris3 - April 26 - 2:00 amJust purchased my second one. Great resale on my 2003 by the way. Superior quality. The most bang for the buck in the SUV market. Excellent AWD system.

By liz digirolamo - April 21 - 2:00 amThis suv is so great with it many comapartments 3rd row seat and comfortability. we leased a second one in Feb 2004. the only added difference which i though was great was the seatbelt reminder bell. After a near fatal accident in a jeep i never leave home without a seatbelt and with the honda pilot even if i forget it reminds me.......A+++++++ All the way. lizzytish in boca raton florida.

WOW - 2004 Honda Pilot
By JJLCG - March 15 - 2:00 amShopped around for months and settled on the Pilot based on reviews/word of mouth. Simply put, I could not ask for more in a family SUV. Not only do you feel extremely safe, but the ride is a dream for such a rugged vehicle. Handling is fantastic and the ride is smooth and quiet. DVD is a must for the kids and the heated seats are a nice touch for 2004.

Still new, but so far so good - 2004 Honda Pilot
By Kenm - March 8 - 2:00 amIve owned the Pilot just 2 weeks. so well see, but so far so good. Dealer, Coral Springs Honda in Fl was very good to work with. If Im allowed I will post further in a few months. The Pilot seems to have great build quality, good fit and finish. I like the interior layout very well, its sensible with lots of storage.Very quiet running, except on freeway. I havent punched it all, as manual advises not to in first 600 miles. 17.5 mpg on first two tankfulls, 50/50 mixture of city/highway w/o a/c running.

Liveliest/most reliable SUV - 2004 Honda Pilot
By agansj - March 4 - 10:00 amStrong and smooth engine. Properly weighted and direct steering. A lot of SUV for your earned money. And most of all, Hondas RELIABILITY.

I love my Pilot - 2004 Honda Pilot
By Marco Esquandolas - March 4 - 12:06 amPerfect for the family! We load up the kids, grandma and grandpa and all ride to the beach for the weekend! It handles very nicely and corners far better than I have ever experienced in an SUV. The Pilot just feels safe on the road.
