  I drive the Pilot from "The OC", up to Lake Arrowhead,(elav 6000), twice per week. It climbs the mountain effortlessly, handles great, and has outperformed my toyota pickup 4x4, 3 suburban 4x4s, and audi quattro in the snow !!!

  Comfortable ride. Rides very smooth and feels tight, like a car drives. Easy handling. Does not feel bulky, like some SUVs. Very spacious for a compact SUV.

  This consumer waited since the mid- 1980s for Honda to come up with a roadworthy sport utility with horse power and the same road performance as their other superb vehicles, "curb appeal" if you will, and, finally, a higher end interior design...hence, the Pilot. No disappointments here except fuel economy and the need for a sun/moon roof offered as a standard to make my dream SUV complete.

  Have owned several used honda cars and all have been predictably reliable. We bought this Pilot new though and now after nearly 20 months and 21000 miles it is still completely problem free and a pleasure to drive. It has been thru 2 snowy Minn winters, easily pulls our 18 boat and entertains the kids with the DVD. This is the wifes truck and she loves the visibility, ride comfort and EXL features. She told me there is no way I could get her to drive (or even ride in) an Explorer or the GMC AWD Safari weve had in the past.
