Since its launch for the 2003 model year, the Honda Pilot has helped shape the market for crossover SUVs with three rows of seating. Offering V6 power, respectable fuel economy, a comfortable ride, plenty of interior space and seven-to-eight-passenger seating, the Pilot is exactly the kind of vehicle that appeals to growing families who are leery of traditional minivans. Other crossover SUVs might be sportier to drive or more stylish on the inside, but Honda's three-row crossover appeals to your practical side and packs in a lot of functionality.

Choosing a Pilot is straightforward, as Honda packages equipment in a few basic trim levels rather than offering countless options. Regardless of the year, all Honda Pilots give you three useful rows of seating and lots of storage slots, though early models are smaller and aren't quite as accommodating for teenagers in the third row. Cargo capacity has also increased over the years.

  This is a heavy, powerful feeling car-- very powerful! I feel safe in it. The ride is wonderful. We looked and looked and looked. This was the best driving and the best ride. I only wish we had leather seats and my wife wanted a sun-roof. We bought too soon and didnt order what we really wanted.

  The quality of the vehicle is great. The ride is great! The fuel economy is great. The looks are great! The technology could be better! The touchscreen is slow to respond to touch. The name of settings is NOT always intuitive. While the vehicle tries to be incredibly smart about following distances and obstructions, it seems like things are set too conservatively - it becomes annoying and Im about to turn off some of these things. I cant use the cruise control because the following distance is so large that everyone cuts in front of me. Even the sound system - 540 Watts - just doesnt sound great. I cant even tell if all of the speakers are even working. It is a really great vehicle that just should be even better. I paid for this stuff - why doesnt it all just work better?!

  The Honda Pilot is a very well built, high quality automobile. It drives good, rides good, and is very quiet on the road. It is filled with technology----almost to a fault. It will take my wife and me some time to learn all of its features. It is very smooth and is getting very good gas mileage. I cant imagine that any SUV being made could have more features than does the Pilot. It is also very roomy. It also has all wheel drive and stability control, so is very sure footed in rain or snow.

  I previously owned a Honda Accord so when it came to thinking about an SUV of course I looked at Honda first. The Honda Pilot seats 8, its comfortable, you have no blind spots while driving, and the employees of Shack Findlay Honda are the best. No pressure and in and out of there in record time.

  Saved My Life - 2007 Honda Pilot

  I was struck last week by a driver running a red light. My Pilot flipped and landed on the roof. I was fine, and everyone says its a miracle that Im alive. The car did EXACTLY what it was supposed to do and saved my life. Besides Hondas well-known reliability, the safety of this vehicle is unparalleled. Since it was a total loss, Ill be buying another!

  It took me several weeks of dealing with car dealerships until I found exactly what I wanted (color, trim). Ive owned it for about a month and Im very impressed with the highway and city mpg. We drove on our first long trip and we were averaging 28mpg.

  This has got to be the best car Honda has ever sold. The ride is light-years a head of the 2000 Oddsey I owned and I thought it was good. This is a great SUV both in style and ride. A real enjoyment to drive.
