Model Overview:

Since its launch for the 2003 model year, the Honda Pilot has helped shape the market for crossover SUVs with three rows of seating. Offering V6 power, respectable fuel economy, a comfortable ride, plenty of interior space and seven-to-eight-passenger seating, the Pilot is exactly the kind of vehicle that appeals to growing families who are leery of traditional minivans. Other crossover SUVs might be sportier to drive or more stylish on the inside, but Honda's three-row crossover appeals to your practical side and packs in a lot of functionality.

Choosing a Pilot is straightforward, as Honda packages equipment in a few basic trim levels rather than offering countless options. Regardless of the year, all Honda Pilots give you three useful rows of seating and lots of storage slots, though early models are smaller and aren't quite as accommodating for teenagers in the third row. Cargo capacity has also increased over the years.

  • 9 GOOD Years - 2008 Honda Pilot

I write this note after my 2008 Pilot has given me 9 really good years of reliable, safe and comfortable service. Other than routine maintenance, Ive had no major or minor service emergencies or repairs for malfunctions in the mechanics of my vehicle. If youre fortunate to purchase a the same model with an owner as anal as myself about maintaining its scheduled maintenance, you cant go wrong. Take care of your Honda and it will take care of you!!

I have owned 3 Cherokees, 1 Grand Cherokee and a Liberty. All have had literally all the options. They all pale in comparison to the Pilot. Honda once again built the best - comfort, ergonomics, reliability. The Pilot has it all. The more I drive it the more I love it.

  • New Pilot - 2004 Honda Pilot

Weve had our new pilot for 3 weeks and are really enjoying, only problem that we encountered was having to wait for the dealer installed accessories. It is a great overall package, sure there are some fine competitors out there that are stronger in one particular area, towing, or overall offroad ability to name a couple, if however like us you just want a good all round suv the pilot is a great choice.

  • Love My Pilot - 2003 Honda Pilot

I have always wanted an SUV,much research we found the Pilot. The color Green/tan interior. Ride is so smooth, engine is so quiet. Three rows of seats offer such flexibility. The 60/40 split of both back seats are perfect for every occasion. We bought it and three days later left for road trip. We put 1500 miles on in the 9 days. It was perfect for the trip! The children were comfortable with the air control in the back seat/ activity tray between them. The tape/cd player played all kinds of music beautifully. My 8 yr old is selling the car to everyone he meets! In one month, we have not found anything we dont like. Love my Pilot!

Just picked up my Pilot yesterday, love everything about. My Parents have 05 MDX and the only big difference is the bluetooth capability, memorizing seat adjustments and with the Pilot your saving about $7-8k dollars.

  • Just Bought the Elite - 2017 Honda Pilot

I found the Pilot brochure confusing. The included options list implies that the Elite has everything the other models have plus more stuff. Not quite true. It does not tell you what is left out, so its not completely clear what you are getting. Lane Watch is included in lesser models and I expected it should also be on the Elite. It isnt. Some reviews dislike Lane Watch because it takes your eyes away from the road. The Owners Guide is inadequate. Photos are too small. Honda should include a full size Owners Manual. Sure, you can go to their website and download the 679 pages and print it yourself but for a $50,000 Elite, youd think they would give you one. The Guide shows an option that the Elite should have but doesnt. That is Folding Mirrors. This option would help to protect your mirrors from damage by folding them inwards. Even though the Guide covers it, I did not see it listed as a feature on any of the models. I have yet to use the shifting paddles. I have not found any information yet on how to use them. Ill keep looking. Though not stylish, the Elite is very comfortable and has a lot of cargo space.

  • My wife picked it out! - 2006 Honda Pilot
    By -

My wife loves this SUV. We have had a Honda product since 1985. This year she said no Hondas. I picked out 3 SUVs. Grand C, 4 Runner and Pilot, after on-line research and test driving several different ones incl, Volvo, Trailb and Pathf. She picked the PILOT. One of the past complaints was the A/C defrost. Prob solved. The styling was her favorite. The seats are comfortable. The Nav system is tough to get used to, but once used to it works well. The XM trial offer has cvinced me to get it for my other car. With my wife happy,I am very happy, EXCEPT, I think there is an issue with some electronics, in the ignition. The engine shuts down when placed in R. It goes to shop Tues.

This SUV is a fine example of a excellence. It is not only a great car to drive but also the best looking car in the Super Market parking lot. The Honda Pilot is a must to own. We truely love this car. We bought this car fully loaded.

  • Honda Heaven - 2005 Honda Pilot

I traded my 2002 BMW 325i for a 2005 Honda Pilot EXL. Although both cars are inherently different, I love the versatility and value of my Pilot. The drive is incredibly smooth and it handles really well, almost like a car. And I love the sunroof and plush leather interior with wood trim. All this from someone who swore shed never buy an SUV!
