Model Overview:

Since its launch for the 2003 model year, the Honda Pilot has helped shape the market for crossover SUVs with three rows of seating. Offering V6 power, respectable fuel economy, a comfortable ride, plenty of interior space and seven-to-eight-passenger seating, the Pilot is exactly the kind of vehicle that appeals to growing families who are leery of traditional minivans. Other crossover SUVs might be sportier to drive or more stylish on the inside, but Honda's three-row crossover appeals to your practical side and packs in a lot of functionality.

Choosing a Pilot is straightforward, as Honda packages equipment in a few basic trim levels rather than offering countless options. Regardless of the year, all Honda Pilots give you three useful rows of seating and lots of storage slots, though early models are smaller and aren't quite as accommodating for teenagers in the third row. Cargo capacity has also increased over the years.

Ive had my Pilot nearly 6 weeks now, and am extremely satisfied with it! I paid $1200 under MSRP at Steve Bailey in OKC--however, I would NOT have received that good a deal if I had not first asked for a quote from their internet department. If you have a pet, I highly recommend the cargo liner! I ordered one off the internet from Spreen Honda in CA and, with shipping, still paid 25%

I bought this vehicle because my family and I did not want a mini van. The Pilot is excellent in all ways because of not only safety but comfort, and reliability. The Navi is great and we got the pilot for $5000 off msrp! The only quirk with the pilot is it seems to hesitate during acceleration and the dealer couldnt duplicate it. But other than that this car just ROCKS in almost every way!

We have had our Pilot for four days....I love driving it. It handles so well and is quiet inside. We entered the dealership determined to get the EX Model with cloth seats....once my husband and kids saw the Leather and DVD Player all plans were thrown aside (along with my hope of a reasonable monthly payment! :) We did get a great deal on our trade-in as well as the purchase price. The dealership was very patient with us and was very low-pressure.... I would highly recommend Tracy Honda, see Hal!

  • Awesome Vehicle - 2003 Honda Pilot

The Pilot is an awesome vehicle. The ride is smooth and the vehicle is quick. It is very roomy inside, much more roominess than Explorers/Mountaineers. I highly recommend purchasing the cargo tray as an acessory. Its great to provide extra protection for the cargo area when hauling or taking stuff. I have already filled the cargo area with 40 lbs bags of topsoil, so I know the usefulness of cargo tray. I really believe that this car is a steal at 28, 29k for the Ex model. We looked at the highlander, which was smaller, more expensive and you got less for your money. I would have paid 34k for a vehicle like this.

  • Outstanding SUV - 2006 Honda Pilot

This is a great SUV. Really roomy, comfortable and the interior setup is intiutive and well-placed. If youve got at least one child, theres more then enough room for strollers, carseats and plenty of luggage. The Pilot is a dream on long trips, and my wife can relax watching movies in the back seat with our son.

Overall a very good SUV. My major complaint is the poor legroom. Honda put a 3rd seat in the back, and the front legroom was shortened. I am tall, and cant come close to stretching out my legs on either the drivers or passenger side. A long trip would be a strain. This car is for my Wife, and she fits fine. There are also air leaks around the doors, and the inside is noisy. It will go back to the dealer soon for repair.

Loving my Pilot so far. Its spacious and comfortable but still easy to maneuver and fit into parking spaces and my garage. Love all the safety and other convenience features as well. Have also been pleasantly surprised by MPG considering I drive a combo of city and highway (with lots of traffic). I have no complaints yet!

  • Great Choice - 2006 Honda Pilot

The Pilot came with many more standard features that would have added several thousands to other makes. For a family SUV, the Pilot could not be beat for value. Dollar for dollar you get a lot more car with the Pilot.
