Model Overview:

Since its launch for the 2003 model year, the Honda Pilot has helped shape the market for crossover SUVs with three rows of seating. Offering V6 power, respectable fuel economy, a comfortable ride, plenty of interior space and seven-to-eight-passenger seating, the Pilot is exactly the kind of vehicle that appeals to growing families who are leery of traditional minivans. Other crossover SUVs might be sportier to drive or more stylish on the inside, but Honda's three-row crossover appeals to your practical side and packs in a lot of functionality.

Choosing a Pilot is straightforward, as Honda packages equipment in a few basic trim levels rather than offering countless options. Regardless of the year, all Honda Pilots give you three useful rows of seating and lots of storage slots, though early models are smaller and aren't quite as accommodating for teenagers in the third row. Cargo capacity has also increased over the years.

I was told to be wary of this new Pilot but it is EVERYTHING it was supposed to be. Nine speed is awesome and ride across country was a dream. All of the safety features are a big plus and ACC worked great.. Great job Honda

I dont usually write any reviews but after this weeks ice storm in Dallas, I had to testify for the performance of this vehicle. The 4WD system handled the completely iced roads beyond my expectations. I loved driving past other non-4WD SUVs and cars who were slipping and sliding just to find grip. I have read many past postings where people say the Pilot isnt a true 4WD vehicle and it cant go off-road, but I will take it in the sleet and snow anyday. Im not much into technical jargon such as "center locking differential" or AWD vs. 4WD, but I do know that the Pilot will get you to where you want to go safely while others could be in the ditch.

I cant say enough about the Pilot. It meets all our needs and then some. It is an urban vehicle and a traveling vehicle. It is comfortable on long drives and nimble enough for city driving. The amenities are plentiful for cost and the quality is great. There are a few minor problems with some of the Pilots out there according to other owners (mine seems to have less than others)but for a first year model, it is the least problematic than any domestic vehicle I have owned. Honda has won me over with the Pilot.

This SUV is great for the family with younger teenagers. Plenty of room and features are great. It handles well and is a great value. It does not get good gas mileage. I have never received the mileage that is posted on it. It gets about 12-17 MPG. It stated 22-28. Big difference. Otherwise, a wise investment.

I use this car in my equine vet practice, carrying a good load all day long. Its been great and I would recommend it to anyone. I drive quite a bit all over the east and am very happy with this vehicle.

$42000 and no cd player - also had to pay about $1500 to get a roof rack as the rails are not provided as standard equipment as they are with most other companies SUVs

My husband says that this is the first car that he didnt minded paying for. It handles very well, has plently of room inside, is very attractive outside ( we bought the white one and added all the features). Our grandchildren love the DVd system--the grocery net actually works with ease. The third row seats go up and fold down effortlessly. We had a different SUV before the Honda Pilot and this car is in a different class. I have been driving it for almost 12 months and it still feels like a new car
