Overview & Reviews
Since its launch for the 2003 model year, the Honda Pilot has helped shape the market for crossover SUVs with three rows of seating. Offering V6 power, respectable fuel economy, a comfortable ride, plenty of interior space and seven-to-eight-passenger seating, the Pilot is exactly the kind of vehicle that appeals to growing families who are leery of traditional minivans. Other crossover SUVs might be sportier to drive or more stylish on the inside, but Honda's three-row crossover appeals to your practical side and packs in a lot of functionality.
Choosing a Pilot is straightforward, as Honda packages equipment in a few basic trim levels rather than offering countless options. Regardless of the year, all Honda Pilots give you three useful rows of seating and lots of storage slots, though early models are smaller and aren't quite as accommodating for teenagers in the third row. Cargo capacity has also increased over the years.

Just What I Wanted - 2004 Honda Pilot
By Frank - January 5 - 12:07 pmI often use this to transport heavy loads. My old station wagon used to groan, but this SUV takes twice as much easily. The seats fold away quickly. There are numerous 12V outlets and many cupholders when I transport the Little Leaguers. It even seats eight. Only drawback is road noise on the highway.

My Pilot experience - 2004 Honda Pilot
By abeflores - January 2 - 6:01 pmThe Honda Pilot is the best vehicle Ive ever had the pleasure of owning. I have had BMWs, MBZs, Toyotas, Fords, Chevys, Infinitis, Nissans, and VWs, they do not compare to the reliability and effortless performance that I have received from my Pilot. I highly recommend this vehicle.

Great SUV - 2003 Honda Pilot
By Clay - January 2 - 1:31 amOther than the tranmission recall and free oil changes, was in shop once for RR door rattle, fixed. It lives up to its calling, it seats eight, but only put small kids fit in back. Seats fold down for carrying cargo, hold road well, no vibration or other problems reported by others - thats with the Goodyear tires - the Bridgestones dont do that. Problem reported about bad sound problem with windows down - thats only if you have just the rear windows down. Holds road well, 4WD works when needed. Looks like Ill get about 24K miles on original tires. Get 15MPG in tight city driving (Dallas), 19-20 on highway, I drive agressively. Carries a LOT with rear seats down. Pleasure to drive!

awesome - 2003 Honda Pilot
By timl - December 31 - 2:00 amgreat acceleration. very comfortable. nice, smooth, quiet ride. best utility, gas mileage, acceleration, expected resale value, cargo space, in its class. this was our first honda. comparison shopped vs. trailblazer and explorer. from bumper to bumper, not as well designed or had the workmanship or materials of the pilot. explorers workmanship and materials are a joke.

Hondas Pilot Is A Hit - 2004 Honda Pilot
By Burdem - December 31 - 2:00 amOur family of 6 has long outgrown the Volvo wagon. We are not a minivan family, needed a car to seat all of us and a friend or two but didnt want a "trucky" feel. We test drove Honda Pilot and we were sold. It has excellent handling, tight European style steering, more than adequate power and spacious interior. The leather interior is very luxurious and comfortable. Many standard amenities like heated seats, heated rear-view mirrors all add to the enjoyability of this car. The DVD player is also a hit with the kids and Mom and Dad! All at what I considered an affordable price when competing with the Volvo and Acura SUVs.

2003 Pilot Review - 2003 Honda Pilot
By Real Pilot - December 30 - 10:00 amDelivered 6/8/2002. Black exterior, gray leather, navigation system, back- up camera, chrome bumper cladding, front bumper cover with foglights, and added aftermarket 8inch DVD system. Nicest driving vehicle Ive owned, comfortable. Plenty of power, turns like a car, very quite interior. Third row small but functional. Excellent fit and finish. Like the looks with added front bumper covers more than the MDX.

my review - 2003 Honda Pilot
By leonard - December 30 - 10:00 amI absolutely love it! It was worth waiting almost 30 yrs for Honda to build their own V6 SUV........ Im glad I only had to pay MSRP for It. I hear many dealers are charging 2-3% over sticker.
