Model Overview:

Since its launch for the 2003 model year, the Honda Pilot has helped shape the market for crossover SUVs with three rows of seating. Offering V6 power, respectable fuel economy, a comfortable ride, plenty of interior space and seven-to-eight-passenger seating, the Pilot is exactly the kind of vehicle that appeals to growing families who are leery of traditional minivans. Other crossover SUVs might be sportier to drive or more stylish on the inside, but Honda's three-row crossover appeals to your practical side and packs in a lot of functionality.

Choosing a Pilot is straightforward, as Honda packages equipment in a few basic trim levels rather than offering countless options. Regardless of the year, all Honda Pilots give you three useful rows of seating and lots of storage slots, though early models are smaller and aren't quite as accommodating for teenagers in the third row. Cargo capacity has also increased over the years.

  • For my wife and she loves it! - 2007 Honda Pilot

Looked for an SUV for my wife for 6 months, including BMW, M-B, others. My wife didnt give the OK until she drove the Pilot. Lots of bells/whistles, but well laid out & easy to use. Its incredibly well- equipped, with pleasant surprises everywhere. She raves about it, and her friends want the salesmans card!

  • Best mid SUV for the money - 2004 Honda Pilot

After owning a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero we wanted something less truck-like. At the end we had to decide between the Mitsubishi Endeavor and the Honda Pilot, both cars drive great, in fact the endeavor drives a little better but we ended up with the Pilot because it can seat up to 8 (endeavor seats 5) and it has Hondas high resale value, unfortunatelly our Mitsubishi Montero depreciated enormously. Up to now we are happy with the Pilot and for the money its the best deal around in semi-luxury SUVs.

  • Have had a few months - 2005 Honda Pilot

Have had 2005 Pilot for a few months now. I have not been able to get above 15.5 mpg around town 18-19 on hwy. I am very disappointed in the mileage and would not recommend this vehicle. We got the vehicle for the Honda reputation. My big SUV gets better mileage than this and with more creature comforts. Vehicle is peppy and gets in/out of traffic well.

  • Great for Families with Young Children - 2003 Honda Pilot

I wanted seating for more than 5, but I didnt want a truck-based SUV and my husband didnt want a minivan. The Pilot has car-like handling and lots of room for kids and their "stuff". I am very happy with my Pilot and would highly recommend it.

  • First Pilot - 2009 Honda Pilot

My wife wanted an SUV this time around since we drive in various weather conditions. Love the Pilot so far. Its surprisingly roomy and the features are outstanding. We had looked at most SUVs on the market and chose this one. Weve had it 1 month now and Im watching to see what the mpg will be. Got 20.5 avg on our first 500 mile trip at 73 mph. Like to see a little better but Ill give it time to break in. Still have to read the book occasionally to figure things out.

Ive had my Pilot for almost 6 months now and I love it!! The storage is great...drink holders for everyone too! The seat warmers are great. Has great "get up and go" and very easy to handle when driving. Smooth and quiet. I absolutely love my car and am so glad I have it!!

I find the Honda Pilot to be an excellent quality vehicle. Its interior design gives the driver and passengers exceptional comfort and room. It is a true eight passenger vehicle and affords comfort for all even when loaded to capacity. The Honda Pilot handles well both around town and on the highway. One only needs to sit in the vehicle and close the door to experience the solid workmanship.
