Overview & Reviews
Since its launch for the 2003 model year, the Honda Pilot has helped shape the market for crossover SUVs with three rows of seating. Offering V6 power, respectable fuel economy, a comfortable ride, plenty of interior space and seven-to-eight-passenger seating, the Pilot is exactly the kind of vehicle that appeals to growing families who are leery of traditional minivans. Other crossover SUVs might be sportier to drive or more stylish on the inside, but Honda's three-row crossover appeals to your practical side and packs in a lot of functionality.
Choosing a Pilot is straightforward, as Honda packages equipment in a few basic trim levels rather than offering countless options. Regardless of the year, all Honda Pilots give you three useful rows of seating and lots of storage slots, though early models are smaller and aren't quite as accommodating for teenagers in the third row. Cargo capacity has also increased over the years.

Good One - 2003 Honda Pilot
By Reena - December 26 - 10:00 amGood Vehicle. Excellent Looking. Comfortable Driving. Reliable. But very poor body. If you press with hand, it will just go inside. No heated seat. No in-built back up video camara. Also Navigation and DVD combination is not there.

So far so good - 2009 Honda Pilot
By Johnny - December 22 - 4:26 amWas looking at the Highlander and was totally surprised by the great deal Honda was offering on these. Very comfortable and I love the room and cargo configurations. Cabin is slick. Heating controls are kind of an odd design, but you get used to it. I think the Highlander ride was smoother and more car like, but the Pilot takes bumps well enough. Very versatile. Road trips, tailgating, cargo hauling, towing (included!). Its great for just about anything. MPG is about as advertised, not great. So far so good. Im very happy with my choice.

I like my Pilot - 2004 Honda Pilot
By 2004 Pilot EX - December 21 - 7:23 pmI was a 20 year BMW owner and find the Pilot to be perfect family vehicle for a group with an active lifestyle. It is an easy drive, uses regular gas, very reliable and good in town and on the road. No reservations about any part of this vehicle.

great SUV - 2005 Honda Pilot
By Lori - December 19 - 4:42 pmGoing from a 91 civic to this of course was a huge step up. This is a great SUV. It took everything we gave it on the test drive, went over 90 mph and took it semi-off road, for a non- off road SUV, it did pretty good. The heated seats are great. But i love most that you can feel the power behind it. Some SUVs i tested couldnt get out of their own way.

The best SUV for the price - 2006 Honda Pilot
By Sam - December 18 - 10:06 pmI was very much set to buy a Volvo XC90 or an Acura MDX for my wife. I decided to listen to a friend and test drive the Pilot. I drove it on the highway and on the streets. I drove it at high speed (over 90/mph)and curvy roads. I drive a lot for work, I was very very impressed by this SUV. It handles well. You have a good view of the road. The ride is smooth and most importantly she loves it!

Pilot of our own - 2004 Honda Pilot
By Pilot Owner - December 18 - 6:42 pmOur sixth Honda - waited for the Pilot before plunging into SUV ownership. Heated seats means my wife drives the Pilot all the time. Radio and cruise controls on steering wheel make for safer driving. Interior design results in great versatility. Weve used the third row seat maybe six times in nearly two years, and it was useful. Lots of room for two kids, two labs, and lots of gear. Wish list - curtain air bags, six disk cd.

Very Satisfied - 2003 Honda Pilot
By Cynthia Dittoe - December 18 - 6:40 pmMy Pilot just turned 50K miles and Ive had no problems at all. Ive driven in the snow and ice, and it performed very well. Its been reliable and a pleasure to drive as well as economical compared to the larger SUVs on the market. I would highly recommend a Pilot.

Reliable Vehicle - 2005 Honda Pilot
By Cheryl Hontz - December 18 - 6:15 pmIs a dependable, well-built vehicle. Can feel the safety in driving the car. Is a heavy vehicle and feels like it can sustain the normal fender-benders. Very comfortable to drive, good pick-up and driver control. Turning radius better than expected. Would recommend to others.
