Model Overview:

Since its launch for the 2003 model year, the Honda Pilot has helped shape the market for crossover SUVs with three rows of seating. Offering V6 power, respectable fuel economy, a comfortable ride, plenty of interior space and seven-to-eight-passenger seating, the Pilot is exactly the kind of vehicle that appeals to growing families who are leery of traditional minivans. Other crossover SUVs might be sportier to drive or more stylish on the inside, but Honda's three-row crossover appeals to your practical side and packs in a lot of functionality.

Choosing a Pilot is straightforward, as Honda packages equipment in a few basic trim levels rather than offering countless options. Regardless of the year, all Honda Pilots give you three useful rows of seating and lots of storage slots, though early models are smaller and aren't quite as accommodating for teenagers in the third row. Cargo capacity has also increased over the years.

Strong and smooth engine. Properly weighted and direct steering. A lot of SUV for your earned money. And most of all, Hondas RELIABILITY.

Perfect for the family! We load up the kids, grandma and grandpa and all ride to the beach for the weekend! It handles very nicely and corners far better than I have ever experienced in an SUV. The Pilot just feels safe on the road.

  • The Ultimate SUV - 2003 Honda Pilot

After an exhaustive search and countless hours or SUV research I recently purchased the Pilot EX-L in RedRock Pearl. After only 4 months weeks I have come to the conclusion that this might have been my smartest purchase to date. I call it the ultimate SUV but in essence I could call it the ultimate transportation. The interior is comfortable enough to be your family sedan and its big, handy and thoughtful enough to be an alternative to a minivan. Theres nothing not to like about the Pilot. The only real competitors for the Pilot are the Toyota Highlander and the Acura MDX.

  • Best Reliability of any car I ever owned - 2003 Honda Pilot

My first Honda was and is a 1995 Accord. It now has 230,000 miles on it and Im still using it. I was so impressed, I bought my Pilot, and with 80,000 miles on it, it has been in for repairs once---to replace the rear door struts. This is a excellent vehicle.

  • Great CrossOver Vehicle - 2004 Honda Pilot

Used to have a Dodge G. Caravan and traded it with the 04 Pilot. No regrets!!! We love the ride & comfort. My 2 yr. old like to ride it always. Long drive??? No problem, very smooth ride, like a luxury car. I would surely recommend to anyone looking for a crossover vehicle. Never buy again Dodge vehicles they have a lot of problems.

  • Nice utilitarian ride, great cargo space - 2017 Honda Pilot

Weve had our Pilot for about 2 months and have enjoyed it. Seats are comfortable for long rides and the interior is very spacious. With the 3rd row down we have plenty of space for our 2 dogs. The technology package is nice, although on curvy roads the collision avoidance system warns "Brake" when a car is in the curve with you. Steering assist and adaptive cruise control are very handy. AWD is nice, weve driven up a steep snowy driveway and along snow and ice covered roads and its always felt very stable.

We drove the Pilot and loved it at first drive. This was after driving ALL of the competing cars (Explorer, Evoy, Toyotas, Mitsubishi, etc). The ride tied with Explorer. The third row seat is too small for our 5 year old sons feet. Our 7 year old barely fits.

  • Great SUV, Mini Van Replacement - 2006 Honda Pilot

Drove first 1K, so far not disappointed at all. Runs solid, fun to drive, does not feel very big vehicle but roomy inside.
