A Less Expensive Acura - 2004 Honda Pilot
By tacomastan - July 10 - 10:00 amThis is an excellent choice for someone who needs good traction but without needing heavy-duty off-road capability. Provides a wonderful highway driving experience with better than average fuel economy for its class. Driver, passenger and second row seating are very comfortable but the third row is best for children. An excellent city driver with short turning radius, great for parking. Finally, it is a Honda so fit, finish and reliability are a given.

Saved my life in accident - 2004 Honda Pilot
By Karthic - July 10 - 10:00 amI had an accident two weeks back with a deer and I was driving Pilot. Deer jumped from the woods on roadside and hit fast at high speed on driver side. Deer got killed on the spot. Hit was directly on the frame attached with the driver side rear view mirror. My pilots windshield got shattered. Damage was on the side door.No one was injured. I own another Toyota Corolla and if the same happened in that car, it would have killed me. I thank god that I was driving Pilot at the time of impact.

I cant find a thing wrong - 2004 Honda Pilot
By Paul Mon - June 29 - 12:05 pmLike most Hondas you have to be very picky to find something not to your liking. I have now owned my Pilot over 3 years and still enjoy driving it. I can do all of the routine maintenance myself thanks to online resources.

Honda Pilot - 2004 Honda Pilot
By bbishop - June 17 - 10:00 amHaving previously owned 4 large SUVs (2 Jeep Wagoneers & 2 GMC Yukons) we were looking for something that offered the same or similar capabilities, ie., trailering for a boat/trailer (approximately 3000 lbs), seating for 7 or 8, driving comfort and all weather driving capabilities. Additionally, I was looking to improve on gas mileage. The Pilot has not dissapointed us in any way. Its size and maneuverability is an added plus. My wife wouldnt drive the Yukons because of their size but loves driving the Pilot. My only criticism is the annoying "clicking" of/at the rear brakes when under way after reversing direction or releasing the parking brakes.

The best SUV I have ever owned - 2004 Honda Pilot
By Kari - May 28 - 10:00 amI researched Chevy, Ford, Toyota, Dodge and Honda to find the best SUV for our 7 person family. Our children range from 6 - 18 and the driveability, comfort, visability, handling were awesome. I drove each of them hard and the Honda Pilot out did them all. In fact 3 of my friends have since bought new Pilots as well!! Honda left no stone unturned when they made this SUV down to the dipping sauce holders!! Finally a SUV that understands and knows what mom want!!

Pilot Owner - 2004 Honda Pilot
By BFab - May 28 - 10:00 amPurchased the Pilot last month, at this point it has surpassed ever our expectations. The comfort, handling, room and creature comforts are worth the price. We test drove and researched all competitors within the category and the Pilot surpassed all of them. Rear seat room has been expanded with the sliding second row benchseat. All is all, we would purchase it again.

Best Honda Vehicle Yet - 2004 Honda Pilot
By aadle - May 28 - 10:00 amI own a 1999 Honda Accord Coupe and just purchased the 2004 Pilot. The first thing I noticed i nthe Pilot was a prettier interior than most Hondas as well as better, more durable leather. The drive is great, enough power to pass as well as the smooth suspension. I rate the Honda Pilot above the Explorer and 4Runner based on value and comfort. The Pilot is very roomy and is maore spacious than the Toyota 4Runner & Sequoia as well as the Explorer. This is a keeper.

BEST IN CLASS - 2004 Honda Pilot
By JOHN CARROLL - May 22 - 2:00 amWE TRADED A 2001 VOLVO CROSS COUNTRY V- 70 FOR OUR PILOT. WE HAVE FOUND THE PILOT TO BE SUPERIOR IN EVERY WAY TO THE VOLVO. THE COMFORT, HANDLING AND SUPERIOR QUALITY FEATURES TO BE ESPECIALLY NOTICEABLE OVER THE VOLVO. WE HAVE HAD MERCEDES IN THE PAST AND HAVE FOUND THE PILOT TO COMPARE IN MANY WAY TO THE QUALITY OF THOSE CARS. WE CAN PULL IT BEHIND OUR MOTORHOME TOO.
