Model Overview:

Since its launch for the 2003 model year, the Honda Pilot has helped shape the market for crossover SUVs with three rows of seating. Offering V6 power, respectable fuel economy, a comfortable ride, plenty of interior space and seven-to-eight-passenger seating, the Pilot is exactly the kind of vehicle that appeals to growing families who are leery of traditional minivans. Other crossover SUVs might be sportier to drive or more stylish on the inside, but Honda's three-row crossover appeals to your practical side and packs in a lot of functionality.

Choosing a Pilot is straightforward, as Honda packages equipment in a few basic trim levels rather than offering countless options. Regardless of the year, all Honda Pilots give you three useful rows of seating and lots of storage slots, though early models are smaller and aren't quite as accommodating for teenagers in the third row. Cargo capacity has also increased over the years.

  • Best Bang for Your Buck - 2008 Honda Pilot

The 2008 Honda Pilot is a great deal, pricewise (especially with big rebates now) and quality. Honda has had over 5 yrs to work out any bugs from an already solid SUV, so I feel like I own one of the most reliable vehicles on the road. In addition, it has enough pep, is versatile and roomy inside (we love the 60/40 split 3rd row seat for extra passengers when needed without shuffling around the car seats in the second row). It rides like a heavy-feeling, rather sporty car instead of a "floaty" truck- like truck. ItÂ’s a Honda with great resale.

  • Fun to drive - 2010 Honda Pilot

I love everything about this Honda Pilot EX 2010. The interior is perfect, exterior is a little boxy but is ok. The only issue is its pulling to the right. I brought it back to the dealer to fix it. I waited around 1 1/2 hrs. to fix it and then they said they adjusted it, but its still pulling to the right. The service crew said its normal because of the road curves or condition which is unacceptable reason for me because Ive been driving for more than 20years handling different kinds of vehicle. Maybe I will just wait until they recall this problem.

I love pretty much everything about this car. It is a great alternative for those of us who dont want to drive a mini-van but still want to have all that room and comfort. Great space inside. I have sat in the third row with my son on an hour and a half drive and it was okay. I do not suggest any longer than that for adults, but plenty of space for the wee ones. I love the gear shift on the steering column, it frees up the center console for other things like my purse. It is a very comfortable car to drive and I drive over an hour to work. I love the fact that the second row of seats recline, it makes it so much more comfortable on a long drive.

  • Smooth car - 2016 Honda Pilot

Almost too smooth and too well isolated, not much different when going from 30 miles/hr to 75, barely could hear engine roar. Very quiet and comfy even at EX trim without acoustic glass or windshield. Night and day in terms of noise reduction and comfort level compared to 2007 pilot traded, to the level you could barely sense the road condition. Much increased torque allows it to make a tight and precise U-turn and during parallel parking despite much bigger than its older ones. Well improved knee and leg room for front seats, remote start is a plus for EX. No auto passenger seat still sucks for such a pricy ride. Hard to come by a car with color or trim you want, so most dealers wont have any discount. Even luck me got the actual out of door of EX $8000 more than the 2007 EX-L because of its low production, high demand and inflation etc. Supposed styling and comfort are worth all of it. Sound system is fabulous if you play HQ or original song/tracks off the phone, no CD changer taxes the phone too much. Sound setting does not change the track characteristics too much. FM radio is easily the worst among any cars I ever drove in last 25+ years, specially the music ones. It is either a very lousy antenna or as if someone intentionally did that to steer you away from conventional FM.

  • Cant go wrong with a Pilot - 2006 Honda Pilot

We just got our of our 2004 Explorer. The Explorer is not even close to being on the same level!! Our kids love the DVD and my wife and I enjoy the XM radio. I dont know that we will ever own any other make of vehicle. The price is close to any comparable vehicle. Its really fun to drive and ride in.

  • third row seats - 2003 Honda Pilot
    By -

The ONLY thing I would change about my Pilot is the second and third row seats. If the second row was adjustable then the third row would be more usable. Fr large adults, the second row center can become uncomfortable after riding a while because it is not as padded as the rest of the second row seating positions. I have been impressed by the quality of the interior. Nothing was fixed except a fuse and one dome light which did not work correctly. I would buy it again. I hope if they fix the second seat to be adjustable that they offer the "fix to present car owners.

  • Love my Pilot! - 2006 Honda Pilot

I have previously owned a Civic and a CRV, and traded in a 2003 xterra for my Pilot because I missed having a Honda. It is very comfortable to drive, and I love how big the back is when you put down the 3rd row seats, since I have to fit a stroller back there. My husband wasnt sure I needed a car this big, but now he loves it too!

  • 2005 Pilot LX AWD - 2005 Honda Pilot

Very disappointed in this vehicle! Extremely loud road noise - hard to hear on cell phones. Poorly designed climate and radio controls. No automatic headlights, etc. What was I thinking?

  • lots of miles - 2003 Honda Pilot
    By -

i have more than 25,000 miles on my pilot. great vehicle! +10% more interior room than MDX and costs 20% less! There is not a better deal on the road today. Best Bang for the Buck and it will easily last 15++years.
