Leather-equipped EX models get heated seats and side mirrors as standard equipment. Honda has improved the navigation system this year with a larger database, and all models have improved walk-in accessibility to the third-row seat. All Hondas have a seatbelt reminder system added for 2004.

Very Nice - 2004 Honda Pilot
By JDJ02 - February 18 - 10:00 amBetter interior quality than even pricey SUVs like the BMW X3, better overall quality in every department than direct competitors like the Ford Explorer. The engine isnt the most powerful or the smoothest on the market, but it is adequate for city and freeway driving.

Love Hondas - 2004 Honda Pilot
By Wittyone - August 30 - 2:00 amI did a great deal of research before buying my 2004 Honda Pilot. My first Honda was an 1989 Accord and I never owned a better more reliable vehicle. I always said when Honda made a Mid- size SUV, Id be all over it. They made one and I bought it. Im very happy with the car and feel secure and safe when driving alone or with my family of 5.

Crash Survivor - 2004 Honda Pilot
By pray4me_99 - June 12 - 2:00 amWe purchased our new Pilot with safety in mind when our new baby girl came into the world. We also have been long time Honda owners are are quite impressed with the reliability and service we have received. Recently, while heading home from working all night my husband nodded off at the wheel and we rolled our new Pilot twice. I am thankful to be able to be here to record this review and give top notch praise to Honda for the construction of this vehicle. My husband and I walked away with only minor scratches.

The Pilot works just fine!! - 2004 Honda Pilot
By Atlanta Pilot - June 5 - 2:00 amGot my new LX Christmas eve. Quality Honda product. Loads of room and very easy to fold seats down. Mileage is about 21 on the highway. Interior styling is spacious... has lots of console room with storage space. It does drive big but the Pilot is a big vehicle. The engine is very quiet.

Honda Pilot 2004 EXL-RES - 2004 Honda Pilot
By sarndt - January 22 - 2:00 amLove the car. Drives well. Comfortable Enterior. Not Great on Fuel Milage (No SUV is). Lots of room for family (3 kids) and friends. Needs more protection on door panels from dings/scratches (already got first dings along passenger door on trim plate only after 1 week). Gear shift should be on floor - hard to shift. Wipers turn on backwards (down instead of up). Roof rack end piece flew off on freeway. Rattle in right front dash. Quality may not be as high as on early Hondas.

SUV Honda - 2004 Honda Pilot
By sacha - September 12 - 10:00 amThe car in general is great, especially if you get all the upgrades and only chose the Saddle color for the interior. The leather will as I have seen in many 03 pilots lose its shape and have lines on the sides. The saddle color will minimize this visible lines. The Pilot is deffinitly not sound proof and you will hear the wind hit the windshield. Apart from that I really love this SUV

First and foremost, its a Honda - 2004 Honda Pilot
By laweiner - July 25 - 10:00 amGreat fit for someone looking for a reliable mid-size SUV with a peppy V6, and flexible seating and storage. We feel that we got great value for the dollar and would buy another one. This is not an SUV for someone looking for luxury (inside and out), seating for 8 adults, shifter in the console, or tall drivers. The latter is a nuisance issue to me since I am unable to fully stretch my left leg on long drives.

Big, fun SUV with hard seats - 2004 Honda Pilot
By nomoreolds - February 4 - 10:00 amIm six feet, six inches tall, and some of the midsize SUVs dont offer enough headroom. Enter the Pilot! Ive got multiple inches to spare above my head, and plenty of legroom and shoulder room, too (the Highlander I test-drove afterwards felt small and cramped). Visibility is excellent. Performance is surprisingly good, and build quality is the best Ive ever seen. The only downsides are (1) The EPA mileage rating was optimistic -- no big surprise, and (2) The leather seats are definitely not soft and cushy like a luxury cars. You sit *on* them, not *in* them. My 240 pounds dont even dent the seat cushions.
