  • Just Purchased - 2010 Honda Odyssey

The car is comfortable and drives well with good power. The list of bells and whistles seems to go on and on. There may be too many at times - it took two salesman and the finance guy to figure out why the remote to the RES didnt work. There is a lockout button on the dash that no one really knew about. However, were pleased with the van and look forward to years of service. My wife just wishes it came in a pearl white.

  • A nice upgrade from the old mini-van - 2010 Honda Odyssey
    By -

We recently decided to upgrade from the old Windstar so we investigated the few remaining mini-vans out there. We had nothing against the others but it was clear that the Honda Odyssey was best of the bunch. Smartly designed by Honda to take into account features that make life easy. Lots of space, lots of storage, a very nice stereo system. We liked the sunroof option and that the windows in the doors roll down. Smooth ride. Goes when you need it to. While we would prefer another type of car, for a family with multiple children (plus their friends), you cant beat the mini-van. I would suggest this to any family looking. We opted NOT to have the DVD system. If your kids cant deal, then.

  • OK- Not as Great as We Had Hoped - 2010 Honda Odyssey

We do not love this van as much as we had hoped we would. We have three kids, age five and under, and yes, it is great with the kids. Easy to get everyone in and out, plenty of space, and the kids love it. It does make my life easier. But... road noise on the highway is really bad. Fuel economy is the pits. We seem to be getting far fewer mpg than other Ody drivers - not sure why. I had heard this about the Ody before we purchased, but didnt pay much attention. Wish I had! Around town we get 11-12 mpg -- yes, thats right! And pure highway driving with cruise control, we get about 17-18 mpg. Might as well be driving a big 3 row SUV! In the minivan category, wish we had gone with the Sienna.

  • oil consumption - 2010 Honda Odyssey
    By -

I purchased the 2010 odyssey van in august 2009 and it consumed 2.5 quarts of oil in the first 4500 miles. I took it to the dealer and they stated the consumption rate is normal and I didnt believe it for a second. We proceeded to do an oil consumption test which was performed in an unscientific manner after the oil was changed and topped off to the required 4.5 quarts (another story unto itself) and roughly 2k miles later it burned another quart. The dealer stated honda corp has a service bulletin out to tear the engine apart if it consumes one or more quarts per thousand miles. I would have never paid 35k for a vehicle which eats oil at this rate. Honda Corp needs to initiate a recall.

  • Good now but some bumps along the way - 2010 Honda Odyssey
    By -

Half-way home from picking up the van, the VSC system failed. Lucky there is a switch to disable on the dash. Took a week at the dealer to figure out the problem and now some 1500 miles later, everything is OK. The Touring has everything as standard and it all works pretty well except the voice assist on the nav system is hard to hear at highway speeds (volume at max) due the fact that there is a lot of noise in the cabin at 60 mph +. The voice assist on the bluetooth phone is much louder however (kind of strange).

  • Oil -20 mpg - 2010 Honda Odyssey

Getting 22Mpg freeway, 19 mixed. Having oil consumption, quart every 4000 miles. Rear heating core heats rear passenger storage above rear wheel.

  • Great Vehicle - 2010 Honda Odyssey

3500K miles so far and not a single problem. Rides well, much easier than the Acadia we had for getting our 3 little kids in/out. More car-like drive as well. Highly recommend.

Really like our van. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking about a minivan, especially anyone with kids. Very kid friendly. Low total cost of ownership.

  • Hooked on Honda - 2010 Honda Odyssey

This was my first Honda purchase. Had a Dodge Caravan and was ready to upgrade. Dodge was nothing but trouble and still is. This van rides smooth and has excellent pickup when needed. Also feels and looks much larger inside. Love all the door cubby space and compartments. You can really feel the difference in the quality in the Honda. Overall a really nice van.

  • Wheres the compass? - 2010 Honda Odyssey
    By -

This van is a dream to drive. I loved my Ford Windstar, but this one is even better with heated seats, sunroof. And 15 cupholders - eight are in the front seat alone! I had auto side doors on the Windstar, but now the auto liftgate is great for shopping. My teenage daughters are thrilled with the XM radio and surround sound. The eighth seat is great for taking large groups to high school events. Great to have third row seats that fold into the floor instead of having to pull them out if you needed to haul anything. Totally, dream vehicle, but I have always used a compass to drive. I had to buy a tacky looking one to get around town.
