  • Not a bad van - 2005 Honda Odyssey

a very nice van and i am happy with it but the fuel ecomomy is far from what it should be and i drive very easy with it and i am only getting 17 mpg in 50/50 city/highway and on a 5 hr. trip on all highway the best i could get with cruise at 70 was 25. i expected better. gas mileage is my biggest problem i have with this van it is rated to be 20/28 the best of any minivan and it is not getting that .

  • Wind Noise Annoying - 2005 Honda Odyssey
    By -

When there is an outside wind of 12 to 18 mph, the interior cabin noise is more than I expected especially from a Honda known for Fit & Finish. My Dodge minivan had less interior noise than the 2005 Honda EX. The Honda dealer acknowledged they have had some complaints about interior wind noise or whistle. They added additional sealant around the front windshield & it seemed to help somewhat. Nevertheless, I still encounter more interior wind noise than I believe is acceptable. Does anyone else share the same annoying problem? Are there other remedies than adding addt caulking around the edges of the windshield?

  • Never thought I would drive a mini van.. - 2005 Honda Odyssey

...but here I am, and having fun, too. The van performs wonderfully. It has enough power to get where you want to go and the comfort to make it satisfying to drive. Yes, I wish it had some additional features, but hey! its a minivan. And most cars dont have as nice of an interior as the Odyssey Touring. For someone who wants a sedan, but needs space I couldnt recommend a better vehicle. And a SUV with the same features will run you about$10k more. In the past two months weve been up and down the state and have been averaging about 22mpg on the highway. If we drive with the a/c off we can get 24mpg.

  • New owner LOVES this vehicle! - 2005 Honda Odyssey
    By -

Weve only owned the vehicle for two months but weve already driven over 5500 miles in it! What a difference it has made on long hauls! Entertaining (DVD player, XM radio), comfortable, easy to get in and out of...we love it! Weve already been able to help with a family move with the major room it has to haul cargo.

  • Good all around vehicle - 2005 Honda Odyssey

Good roomy all around Vehicle for a variaty of uses. Handles well and is well designed for convenient multi use. Mileage is not quite as good as I expected.

  • bad car - 2005 Honda Odyssey

I thoughtn the car was cheaply made and it didnt last long before I had to have repairs....I would strongly reccomend American cars over Japanese cars because the Japanese are cheaply made....theyre like tinker toys and the engine was slow as a dog.

  • The best minvan - 2005 Honda Odyssey

We drove them all, and it was an easy decision. The Odyssey has better performance, handling, comfort and standard features for the price. It has handled ice and snow beautifully.

  • Top Rated for a Reason - 2005 Honda Odyssey
    By -

The laundry list of practical and convenient features (from lots of storage spaces to power sliding doors and moonroof), luxury sedan-like handling, and high-quality fit and finish make this van a pleasure to own. Abundant safety feautres, innovative technology, and just overall clever vehicle design all make their way into the 2005 Odyssey and constantly remind me that I made the right choice. The two Touring trims could easily fit in to the Acura lineup.

  • The Right Hammer - 2005 Honda Odyssey
    By -

My wife and I are both gearheads but with 3 young kids, we had to choose the practical solution. The Odysseys interior design is clever and hits all the notes required by an active young family. The stereo is excellent, the nav system is easy to use and incredibly helpful. The DVD doesnt block the rear view mirror and the rear camera is outstanding. The ride is firm but smooth and solid. It corners flat with minimal sway and it is deceptively quick while remaining quiet and unruffled. It has outstanding gas mileage for a minivan. The Odyssey is no VFR Interceptor, but it is an amazing blend of thoughtful interior layout, excellent handling dynamics, and acceptable power.

  • Thank you for thinking of the tall guys - 2005 Honda Odyssey
    By -

Finally someone thought about the long legged guys.....lots of leg room, head room. Iin plain words, sit in one, close the door and just feel how great this vehicle feels to you as a tall person.
