  • Fuel Economy Nonexistent - 2007 Honda Odyssey

Overall the van is OK, but the mileage is awful! Nowhere near the EPA posted rating even with the +/- 3mpg. We found this shocking having owned a Honda Accord in the past and the gas mileage was one of the things we were happy about. Honda needs to investigate this issue and correct and not have the dealers tell the customer "its hot in the summer" or "it must be the way you drive." Spring, summer, fall or winter and irrespective of how you drive, the gas mileage in the city will barely crack 14 mpg.

  • Not great so far - 2007 Honda Odyssey

Horrible gas mileage... noise (rattle) in door panels from speakers even when radio volume (and bass) is low. Transmission shifts very hard.

  • First impression - 2007 Honda Odyssey

Quick notes: (1) How can this car be without day time running lights? (2) Some of the interior feels cheap. (3) The passenger side armrest is an ergonomically AWFUL and skeletally unfriendly design (you will need muscle relaxers on a long ride). (4) This car guzzles gas. Driving just a mere 14 miles cost me a quater of a tank. You can practically see the fuel gauge move. (5) The second row middle seat is a poor design and the storage entry below seems not thoughtfully designed. The hand sized opening is ridiculous in view of the cavernous storage area. You cannot possibly reach items that are not within a few inches from the opening, but there is no way to keep items close to the opening.

  • Pulls to the Left - 2007 Honda Odyssey

The car tends to pull to the left on the highway. This makes it less than comfortable to drive long distances and rather unsafe. Otherwise, interior and exterior design are solid.

  • Little improved over 2001 model - 2007 Honda Odyssey
    By -

This is a disappointment after owning a 2001. Fit / finish are not as good. Cabin noise is only slightly improved. Fuel Economy with the variable displacement has been about 16 mpg around town. Max mpg of 20 on a 200 miles trip.

Has both 08 Sienna limited and 07 Odyssey EX-L Navi. Like about Odyssey- stereo, brakes, and handling. Dislikes- rough ride. 2nd row seat is too firm. 3rd row seat is too narrow. Navi-screen is big but has less resolution and color. Plus the rear view camera uses cheaper CMOS sensor. Which makes rear-view camera useless compare to Sienna. Dont like all of the door switch is on the driver side. No door switch on the b- pillar. Biggest gripe- Gas mileage is horrible. Averaging 14.3. My Sienna gets 20.7. The old 04 Sienna we owned averaged 21.3 through 70k miles.

  • Did I make a mistake buying this van? - 2007 Honda Odyssey
    By -

My 2007 Honda Odyssey with 8,000 miles started taking my sleep away. Within a month of buying this van, transmission of sound from DVD system to wireless earphones failed, for which internal wiring had to be replaced and rewired. Within a week from this incident, DVD system started malfunctioning and it was replaced. Soon after this the CD/radio was replaced to cure a fault. Next was a passenger seat in the middle row which was jamming; it was replaced too. Front wipers were waiting to break next. My van is with the dealer now to fix them. I wonder if anything in the van will remain as a factory installed equipment at the end of three-year / 36,000 miles warranty.

Hesitation/slight bucking at most speeds as if the engine is misfiring or transmission is slipping, harsh downshifting, excessive wind/exterior noise in the cabin, lurching forward while stopped with foot on the brake, rough ride. Navigation system is almost useless unless the address is known. Some keys on keypad dont respond. Try using the place/name feature and it is almost a guarantee the system cant find the place/name you are looking for (e.g. Wal-Mart, Costco), certainly not the nearest one. Instead the system displays places hundreds or thousands of miles away from your current location. My $500 Garmin portable NAV runs circles around the $2000 Honda NAV system.
