My 05 Odyssey - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By Cubin - April 18 - 7:46 pmHaving my 05 Odyssey EXL DVD & NAV for 8 month without a major complaint. Longest trip so far is Lake Tahoe, we all loved it, especially both of my kids enjoys much on DVD, and myself loved that path finder NAVI, never get lost. Need better insulation on the sunroof, I feel heat wave coming from my head on during these hot days even with the AC on.

check it out thoroughly before buying - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By slow learner - March 23 - 11:06 amWe got our Odyssey less than two weeks ago, so were still learning about it. My wife loves it - she wanted a mini-van - whereas another Camry would have been my first pick. Theres a wind noise on the passenger side - we didnt test drive this car - it was located for us. With the radio on, its not noticeable, but otherwise, it is (maybe that can be fixed?) I did the test driving and never used the passenger seat - now I see that my left knee is on the dash - the seat doesnt go back far. Lastly, the radio controls are pretty far from the driver - need an extended reach to use them. We got 23 mpg (mostly highway driving) on our first tank of gas. My wife loves driving this van -

Great Buy - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By Fernando - March 21 - 10:00 pmIt is a great minivan plus buying it wasnt as confusing as having to deal with all the Toyota alternatives. Its new look is awesome... Im also amazed with the fuel economy. I dont miss my 96 Town and Country at all.

2005 Odyssey - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By otocast - March 21 - 10:00 amWe bought our Odyssey the first week of October. My wife has driven it all week and I driven it a copule of times during this past week. It feels very solid. The room inside is truly "living space". I have to speek louder for my kids to listen to me all the way back in the third row. There is lots of quiet even at freeway speeds. There is a definite "zoom" feel that can be bad for your driving record. (I drove it on the freeway today and as I talked to my wife did not feel that I was almost going 90 mph.) It is fun and there is tons of storage. The new 60/40 seat is a nice thing but more convinient is the Plus-One seat giving us capacity for 8 people. I used this feature and it is great.

Chrysler T & C Limited reigns supreme - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By I Miss my T & C - March 20 - 12:03 amI shouldve bought another T & C Limited. It would have been 3K less and would have include DVD and NAV. The Touring has a lot of nice features, but they missed important things when you buy this level of vehicle (i.e. Memory seats SHOULD include radio settings and mirrors that change with the driver!) T&C LTD does. Our van has been in the shop for a total of 2 weeks with 2 different problems. The brakes were replaced at 5k miles and they still sound awful. It has a noise when I accelerate that the dealer cant find. The stereo was not well thought out...the seek is a stretch for the driver, not on the steering wheel. People who LOVE this van never owned a T&C LTD! Still needs work!

Da Kine - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By akahele - March 16 - 6:03 pmThis is the best car I have ever driven or owned. I think it is a much better automobile than even a bmw or mercedes. Unbelievable comfort power and handling. Auto doors good sound system, excellent ac. Visibility is great, drive by wire is very nice when using cruise control. wish it really got 30 mpg though, but ill settle with what I get because its such a good car.

Great van with some problems. - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By HN - March 4 - 12:06 amThiss a fun and powerful van with overall nice built quality. Few complaints are: 1) Road noise. Its bad enough that I dont enjoy my CDs during my travel any more so I shut it off. 2) The Hondas "gate logic" transmission which shift down as soon as you lift off the gas. I am sure there is a purpose but its annoying as if shifts down mostly when you dont want it to. 3) Its a 5 speed but you cant shift to 4th gear, like going down a hill where 3rd gear is too low. 4) The famous brake grinding problem that Honda, after a year, still cant figure out how to fix yet. 5) Lots of little noise everywhere in the cabin which I was able to fix myself with felts. Regardless, Ill buy it again.

Watch out of 05s Issues - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By Mommy-Van Driver - January 17 - 12:06 pmI love my van as far as features, roominess, etc. but Ive had continual problems with grinding brakes. The dealership FINALLY resealed around windshield to rid wind noise, plastic around glove-box, leg area gets VERY easily "bummed" up. I would not recommend an 05 to anyone. In general its a great van but the new model has had way to many quirks for me. My 9 year old Ford Windstar could beat this van up as far as durability, now special features it does rate tops. Considering trading my 05 for an 06 hoping theyve fixed the quirks.
