  • The Odyssey is good but needs improvement - 2005 Honda Odyssey

Good car. Better than our Buick Rendevous. Smooth ride, good power, good pick up and steering. Feels secure and sure-footed. Snow driving was fair -- not nearly as good as the Rendevous. Why dont they make an AWD model? Wake up Honda! NEEDS telescoping steering wheel (This is supposed to be a touring model right?)You just cant get extremely comfortable. There is no mute button for the radio to be found! We got kids! ARGH! DVD system is nice. There is no random CD setting on the sound system (painful), again, this is a touring model! Arm rests are too small, not built for Americans. But the American vans were bad too! No coin separator holder! When rear seats are down there is 0 rear storage

  • Got it for $1000 off MSRP - Houston - 2005 Honda Odyssey

Solid Build Quality. Plenty of room for everyone. The dual sliding doors are very cool to help load the kids. Plenty of pep in the engine. The only downside was the possibility of having to pay MSRP for a car. We finally got the dealer to come off the MSRP by $1000 and take off the price of all the dealer add-ons. Final out- the-door price for the EX was 27,510.

  • Not like old Honda Quality - 2005 Honda Odyssey
    By -

Ive already had it in the shop for a warranty cracked windshield replacement, but had to wait 6 weeks to schedule an appointment for the Honda rep to okay the replacement. The quality control on this Honda is not like what I had in my 95 Civic. Ive had interior trims coming apart, middle seat belt holder cover for the middle and back row, the left seat leather cover is popping off the trim whenever i drop the rear seat into the rear well. The map box has a decent size gap from the dashboard. Gas mileage is nowhere near advertised on sticker. We took it for a 1500 mile trip and averaged 21mpg hwy at best, but that was with AC and a bit rolling terrain. .

  • Worth sticker, and much more - 2005 Honda Odyssey

Our 12th Honda is our favorite by a longshot. How Honda outdoes itself year after year is a welcome mystery. The ONLY small complaints we have regarding the EX-L Odyssey for 2005 are the lack of a coin holder and the rather cheesy snap-together semi-coverage carpeting necessitated by the variable seating arrangements. We traded an 03 van for this one, coveting the vastly improved storage, the better mileage, and the larger gas tank, while appreciating the additional flexibility added to the seating, entertainment systems, power, comfort, and quietness of the new models. I wish we bought the Touring edition instead, though, after further reflection. You will, too.

  • Disappointed in 2nd Odyssey mileage - 2005 Honda Odyssey
    By -

Owned a 2005 Odyssey for 4+ years and traded it with 75,000 miles for the new 2005 Touring edition Odyssey in September 2004. Have been very disappointed with city gas mileage--my previous Odyssey got about 17 mpg and the 2005 was advertised to get approx. 20 mpg city and 28 highway. I average 14.5 mpg city and 22-23 highway. Needless to say am not happy and am seriously thinking of selling and buying the Toyota Sienna. I have owned 5 Hondas and have been a loyal customer but maybe its time to make a change.

  • My favorite van yet - 2005 Honda Odyssey
    By -

Weve had our Honda Odyssey for only four months now and I enjoy driving it everyday. Its roomy interior is great for our four young children. Ive owned a Chrysler Town & Country and a Toyota Sienna and I must say the Honda Odyssey tops them both. It drives great and looks even better. Its a very sporty minivan and the stereo is awesome. It also makes me feel very safe because of the airbags all the way around the van. And the passenger airbag automatically turns off if someone in the front seat is too small. So my kids can ride up front if need be. I recommend this van to everyone I talk to.

  • Forget the Suburban, this is much better - 2005 Honda Odyssey

The touring Odyssey is incredible! I have an 02 Tahoe and my wife had a V6 Passat before trading the Passat for the Odyssey. We both love the van! I may trade the Tahoe for my own Odyssey. Our opinion, pay for the upgrades...the back-up camera is great, power doors and power liftgate, intergrated DVD and NAV, voice activation...this thing is awesome. I drove the Toyota Sienna and it does not compare to the Honda. Go drive one if you dealer has one; they can be hard to find.

  • Love my new Honda - 2005 Honda Odyssey

We just purchased our new Honda Odyssey with the addition of our second child. The interior is so plush. It is like riding in your favorite recliner from your living room. The van handles well with good exceleration. The important features to me were: interior, safety, reliability, and price.

  • Horrible Economy, Great vehicle - 2005 Honda Odyssey
    By -

While the Touring is a very enjoyable vehicle to drive and ride in. The fuel economy is horrible. This is as bad as an SUV without the benefit of AWD. Dont believe the EPA estimate. It isnt even close.

  • New honda minivans - 2005 Honda Odyssey

We just bought the van and love it. With a large family the leg room for teens growing have full range to chill out in the middle or back seats. A dvd player is always a great help too for traveling. With 1 teen, a 10, 7 and newborn, the car seats for the 2 younger ones still have plenty of room for both next to one another without the cramped space.the 8th seat is great for roomage and or taking it out for extra space between the car seats. the extra compartments are a plus feature too... rating a 9.5 for this van
