  • A great Van -- but Definitely Overrated - 2003 Honda Odyssey
    By -

The Odyssey is a great van. It is fun to drive, and it has great handling. I can move and pass real easy in this minivan. My son absolutely loves it, and is convinced that his mom has by far the best car in school. On the downside, Im greatly disappointed with how many times Ive already had to take this van to the dealership for minute, annoying things, like; echo in the speaker, exhorbitant exhaust coming from the tailpipe; noise in motor on the auto seat; unusual vibration in the engine; a loose hose which caused leakage of transmission fluid. More attention to detail is needed. It should not be in the shop every other month!

  • Good but problematic - 2003 Honda Odyssey

Although the Odyssey features a comfortable ride, secure and carlike handling, excellent brakes, quiet interior and a spacious and airy cabin, it gets overtaken by its low-rent feel, uncomfortable seats (at least mine are), and its problems that happen within a month. My A/C and sliding doors are already in need of repair.

  • Family Van - 2003 Honda Odyssey

We purchased the Honda Odyssey to have a reliable van to pick up the grandchildren. After looking at all the vans available we focused on and bought the Honda. That was the best decision we could have made. The Van rides like a dream. Quiet, fast, very good in the curves and very good traction on the road surface. Even when the roads are very wet the Odyssey can be driven at a normal speed without any hazards. The gas milage is very good and I can recommend this Van to any family of single person that is looking for this type of vehicle.

  • Another Honda - 2003 Honda Odyssey

Our 5th Honda, but first Odyssey. I wanted the more powerful engine that came in 2002, so buying used was not an option. Gas mileage does not suffer with extra power due to 5th gear on the highway. Its not glamorous or luxurious, but it just feels right. Everything is where it should be and the leather seats are wonderful for easy clean up after messy kids. Weve taken several long trips (1000 mile or more) and felt safe and comfortable.

  • I cant believe I own a Minivan - 2003 Honda Odyssey

    Rides great and very roomy!

  • The WORST Minivan - 2003 Honda Odyssey
    By -

The Honda Odyssey is THE WORST minivan! Definitely! After paying almost 3000 over sticker, I hoped to be satisfied. But no! On the drive from the dealer, when the van had less than 100 miles on it, the CHECK ENGINE light came on, and I went straight to the dealer; guess what, TRANSMISSION! At 100 miles! At another 2000 miles, the climate control completely broke, and it was freezing! Many other small problems not worth mentioning. Is this what Japanese cars are like? I previously owned a Dodge Grand Caravan, and should have stuck to it. NO mechanical problems. Do not buy, do not buy, do not buy. Edmunds, please stop recommending it.

Its just a Honda thats it. Sliding door, transmission problems are some of the flaws.

  • Fold flat cheat - 2003 Honda Odyssey
    By -

This car is too overrated!! There is nothing reliable about a car that has a severe mechanical problem during the FIRST 5,000 MILES!! Guess what, Edmunds: looks like the Dodge is much more reliable than this crappy import. In the lonely part of Colorado, this van broke down and left my wife, kids, and myself stranded at night. Luckily we could get rid of it, buy a brand new Dodge, and have an end to problems. Our Dodge, which now has 17,000 miles, hasnt had ONE PROBLEMS. So Edmunds, looks like youre very wrong, so take that comment of your sight before misleading more people.

  • Best Minivan on the Market - 2003 Honda Odyssey

We love our Odessy. We searched for a minivan for three months. At first, we wanted the Town and Country. The dealer told us that the Oddessy was overpriced. However, once you upgrade the T&C to power doors, larger engine, larger tires, etc etc etc.... The Odessy price is way better than the T&C. The T&C with the options mentioned above is well over 30K. We got our Odessy with all the options at 26K. DONT LET THE AMERICAN DEALERS FOOL YOU! THE ODESSY IS MORE FOR THE MONEY!
