Ready for something else. - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By Disappointed - January 7 - 11:26 pmMy husband and I have been very disappointed with our Odyssey. We have always bought GM products but thought that all the safety and consumer ratings were too hard to pass up. The vehicle is supposedly XM ready but you need an $800 part in order to get XM. The gas mileage has not been good at all. I got better in my Venture van. The transmission drives like a manual, I hate having to open the gas cap from the inside and it doesnt have daytime running lamps like GM cars. There is always something rattling like the windows and doors which on a brand new vehicle shouldnt be happening. There is a lot of room and we like the magic seats but are planning to buy something else now.

You gotta do this! - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By THE I95 ROADIE - January 4 - 10:10 amI bought my Odessey 12/30/04. It is a 2005 EX. I currently live in Florida but my home is Maryland. It handled the road quite well. But fatique set in with leg room cramped on drivers side. It had pep and rolled with the best of them. Didnt notice road noise travelling up the interstate. My music drowned out everything anyway! Please make room for a full size tire!!!!! All in all, I would still recommend this van over any others! I plan on making another purchase of a van but want the full size tire option and driver leg/head room or I will hve to look elsewhere!!!! At the price for this van, I would think that these improvements could be met!

Great Granny Van - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By Granny - December 24 - 7:03 pmGot the van to transport grandkids + in their car seats. Too new to give a gas mileage review - has only 600 miles on it. Wanted an 8 passenger vs 7 so we chose the EX as it had certain features plus 8 seating. (too bad the Touring model was only 7 passenger as it has more features we liked). EX drives like a dream. Easy to handle & park - no problem adjusting from driving a small Civic to a van). Nav system & voice recognition are FANTASTIC. In Floor Lazy Susan nice storage. BUT for a $35,000 + vehicle, it LACKS SAFETY FEATURES that Toyota Sienna has, i.e., Front & Rear Intuitive Park Assist, Dyn Laser Cruise Control, Day Run Lights, Auto Dim Inside & Outside Mirrors, Auto Open Tailgate.

Not all its cracked up to be. - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By Mortimer_SC - December 23 - 6:33 pmVery poor fuel economy (usually less than 20 miles/gallon on highway). Cheaply designed and built. Transmission is wishy-washy.

So Far, So Good - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By Marty - December 22 - 6:16 amJust purchased new 05 Odyssey EX-L in March and thoroughly enjoy driving this vehicle. Very comfortable, smooth and quiet. Engine is still in break in period (650 miles) and recently averaged 21.5 MPG on highway. Lots of usable space, cup holders galore and great seats that keep kids separated. First Honda vehicle owned but expect it to be as reliable as my Toyotas.

my new Honda minivan - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By nicole falzone - December 14 - 8:46 pmMy experience with my new Honda minivan has been incredibly positive. My interior has a family entertainment system. It did not come with leather seats but, it doesnt matter to me. This van is great!! It handles well and the engine has a lot of power. The engine runs EXTREMELY quiet.

cheap plastics and jittery! - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By 4kids - November 1 - 11:10 amComing off 7 years of Chrysler T&Cs, we wanted to buy another, but 3 significant problems kept us away: 1. the stow away seats are inadequate for regular adult ferrying! 2. the head room shrank considerably with the side air bags (Im only 6 but felt claustrophobic), 3. and the front passenger seat lost most adjustments. Come on. Figure it out! The Honda solves those problems, with good power, great tranny, comfy seats all around, decent int. storage ideas, and rep. for reliability. Not a bad execution, EXCEPT for the cheap plastics, everywhere. Every handle, lever and release feels thin, sharp (dont get cut) uncomfortable--like youd expect in a minivan for $12K.

Best Available Minivan! - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By J.A.C. - October 31 - 9:23 pmI really love my Odyssey. I believe that it is the best available minivan, and better than any SUV also.
