Overview & Reviews
Most significant for the Honda minivan this year is the option to get the Touring trim with the rear-seat entertainment system and not the navigation system. Previously, the two features were always packaged together. Other changes this year include additional child-seat tether anchors for the third row and standard satellite radio for the Touring model. Finally, stated power output for the Odyssey's V6 engine has dropped slightly due to Honda's adoption of a new SAE horsepower-rating procedure.
- Split flat-folding rear bench
- Agile, carlike handling
- Optional eight-passenger seating
- Strong reliability record.
- Extensive feature list
- Smooth and powerful V6

"Was Well Worth Waiting For " - 2006 Honda Odyssey
By neilg - November 12 - 11:43 amI been driving the odyssey since I got it this past August, and I was a leasing a Ford Freestar 04 SE.Comparing the two is like going out with a super model. The ride and horsepower I enjoy, and with a very bad back and hip I feel more comfort with the seating. The inside looks great compare to what I had in the freestar. My wife likes the leg room in all rows, plus the storage to put things away. Remember Honda Resale is the best out there American cars are loosing its grip (as you read the news about layoffs with GM and Ford). The internet help the those looking for the right vehicle, and compairing them between the U.S., Aisa, And Europe market.

2006 Honda odyssey - 2006 Honda Odyssey
By Julie - October 26 - 2:06 pmI love it!! I have 2 children and I cannot believe how much it has helped with convenience. I always said I would never drive a minivan, but now I wonder why I waited so long. It is the smoothest riding vehicle I have owned, & you cannot beat the amount of room in both back seats. If you have kids this is the way to go.

Never thought Id own a minivan - 2006 Honda Odyssey
By Marty - September 18 - 10:13 pmTest drove this vehicle and loved it. My wife now takes it more often than our Acura TL sedan. No problems with it since we bought it in October.

Odyssey-The Absolute Best! - 2006 Honda Odyssey
By Owen - September 12 - 11:46 amI have never been a big fan of the minivan... until now. The first time I drove this van I was amazed at how much power it had. I like the fact that I can take off quickly when I need to. It handles like a car more than a top heavy van. The interior is very roomy and comfortable. This van is very enjoyable to drive.

Honda refuses to warrant AC condenser - 2006 Honda Odyssey
By homesteader - August 27 - 8:13 amThe AC condenser developed a pinhole leak with no apparent road damage. Honda refused to cover under warranty. Cost me almost $800 to repair. I have found dozens of odyssey AC condenser problems on the internet. Looks like Honda is trying to deny the problem so they dont have to recall. I never had an AC condenser problem with other cars in 40 years of Florida driving.

The Best Minivan - 2006 Honda Odyssey
By Odyssey Fan - June 21 - 3:56 amThis van is great! Needed the ability to haul a lot of gear, and have room for 2 car seats. This minivan is amazing. Rides like a car, parks like a car, handles snow/ice like a 4WD (even though only Front Wheel). I cannot say enough about this van. We drove Siennas, Caravans, Voyagers, Sedonas and Quest. None of them compare to this van. Without a doubt, the Odyssey will be the first car we recommend to friends with or without kids. One slight annoyance with Lazy Susan and arm rests.

Best Minivan ever - 2006 Honda Odyssey
By wawa - May 21 - 1:43 amThough Im embarresed to say it, this van is fun to drive, it gets great mileage, it has awesome comfort controls, and great leather seats. Huge trunk, very spacious, moonroof is nice, and so is the 6-disk changer

Owned 05 Sienna, prefer the Odyssey - 2006 Honda Odyssey
By bobell - May 18 - 10:03 amChose the Honda over a new Sienna mostly because of better ergonomics, more power and purportedly better gas mileage. Have not been disappointed in any way except the transmission shifts are occasionally rough at light throttle. Have averaged over 20mpg since new. This car is fun to drive.

Great with several minor gripes - 2006 Honda Odyssey
By GreatVan - May 4 - 7:56 amWe got this van to replace our 1998 Dodge Caravan. We needed a van because we go camping quite often. This van worked out great so far and gets better mileage and handleing than our old van. We cant give it a perfect fun to drive score because compared to our 2001 VW Passat, this car is like a snail.
