Overview & Reviews
Most significant for the Honda minivan this year is the option to get the Touring trim with the rear-seat entertainment system and not the navigation system. Previously, the two features were always packaged together. Other changes this year include additional child-seat tether anchors for the third row and standard satellite radio for the Touring model. Finally, stated power output for the Odyssey's V6 engine has dropped slightly due to Honda's adoption of a new SAE horsepower-rating procedure.
- Split flat-folding rear bench
- Agile, carlike handling
- Optional eight-passenger seating
- Strong reliability record.
- Extensive feature list
- Smooth and powerful V6

2006 EX-LR - 2006 Honda Odyssey
By lmf - October 29 - 12:00 pmLovin the ride, although we traded in a 1996 Town and Country Lxi and Im missing some of the options it had i.e., more storage, easily reachable stereo controls, easier to read clock, and doors that unlock upon parking. These are all available on the touring but that had many options that we didnt need.

We love it so far - 2006 Honda Odyssey
By wrighth - October 10 - 6:23 pmAfter researching and looking around at other minivans we decided on the Odyssey, we are not dissapointed. It takes a while to get used to the big vehicle, (coming from an Audi, A4). Cant beat the practicality and style. The 2 kids love it.

06 Odyssey w.Nav and DVD - 2006 Honda Odyssey
By VolFan - September 16 - 12:06 pmOur van is a work of art and is a pleasure to drive. We have had it for a month and put over 2000 miles on it. Disappointed that we are getting 22 mpg. It was advertised as 29 to 30 with the computer controlled shutdown of three cylinders.

Odyssey LX 2006 - 2006 Honda Odyssey
By Andrew - September 5 - 8:30 pmOwn the van for less than a year, 10k miles, so far no trouble. It is one of the best vehicles I have ever driven. It is ideal for any size family. Has a lot of safety features identical for all models, base and upscale. Drives like German sedan, better than many cars. It has more useful space than midsize or some full size SUVs, lower price, burns less and has excellent ergonomics and comfort. Traction control makes this vehicle trouble less in winter. I do not see reason for choosing a SUV over this van. The ride is quiet, good for long trips, braking & visibility are excellent. Power is adequate. Mileage is not of a Civic, neither the size. Pity people turned away from minivans.

# 1 Minivan - 2006 Honda Odyssey
By Jase - September 2 - 1:56 pmWe just bought the Odyssey 2 weeks ago. We love everything about it!! It is truly a luxury vehicle. We always said we would never drive a mini-van but the Odyssey looks great and drives great as well. It has a very smooth, quiet ride. Its great for the kids. Plenty of room and storage! The DVD is wonderful to entertain and keep them quiet. Plus unlike a lot of minivans, the Odyssey offers a ton of storage space behind the 3rd row seat. Love the Odyssey!!! Best buy yet!!!

Seniors on the Go! - 2006 Honda Odyssey
By Russ - August 23 - 4:20 pmWe travel to our condo in Marco Island. After two years stuffed into our normal car we opted for minivan comfort, plus room for all items we carry on trips. Plus 3 couples can ride comfortably when going to dinner, the beach or bingo!! So move over for the Q-Tip crowd. Minivans are not just for the young !!!!

excellent - 2006 Honda Odyssey
By sweetser/jesse - July 21 - 6:03 amIt took almost 3500 miles to achieve the twenty mpg around town but I now have about thirty two hundred miles on my Odyssey and am completely satisfied. This is my third six cylinder Odyssey and by far the best. My son has my 99 and he thinks its great, especially the dependability in the cold and snowy Northeast.
