  • Excellent Van! - 2004 Honda Odyssey

We leased our Oddysey in May of 2004. My wife had just given birth to our third child and we needed the space. We got rid of our 2002 Accord and purchased the Ody. The turning radius is amazing. You can literally drive in a tight circle on the parking lot. Roomy, comfortable and the DVD system keeps the kids quiet on long trips. We like this van so much we are purchasing it now that the lease is up. The problems we had were the OEM tires, Michelins. Bald at about 30K. Also the mileage was not great. Averaging about 17 mixed driving. Reliable, family friendly and comfortable. Good vehicle.

We are very happy with our van. We had a mini-van before and it was the most useful car we had ever owned with the plus of driving easily and looking nice. This new car has reinforced that experience in every way and then some. Very luxurious interior and facilities. All the amenities are present and reveled in. This car handles beautifully and, so far, is as reliable as can be wished. Try one, youll like it.

  • I drove them all.....picked the Honda - 2004 Honda Odyssey

Up till this year there was absolutely no competition in my mind because the Sienna was too small. I have been a mechanic since 12 and watched the Odyssey drastically improve over 6 yrs. My needs are: 1: Size. Its home sweet home on a surf trip and everything from a 9.0 surfboard to a 118in Bird of Time R/C Glider has to fit inside. 2: Performance. Not only means "can go fast" but represents safety with good handling, good brakes, and acceleration to get out of the way of something that can crush you.

  • my opinion on the oddessy - 2004 Honda Odyssey

it is to new to rate annual gas milage the hatch window should be taller, the headrests interfere with the rearview for short people the gas pedal is to far away for short poeple, and its to small. The gearshifter on the column interferes with the interior lite toggle switch when you put the car in gear and the windshield washer handle should be on the other side the map lite shines in your face when it is dark the heated seat switch is on the bottem of the door which makes it difficult to shut off when you are driving overall I GREATLY dislike the interior of the van. I probably will never buy another one the car is also to new for some of the ratings

  • Substandard Automatic Transmission - 2004 Honda Odyssey
    By -

When I bought this Van, I like most. Also the regular services costs less. But only problem is now and then Engine Check light goes on, even if gas cap is loose. And top of it recently at 39,000 miles Automatic Transmission was required to replaced. Thanks to dealer who help me alot. But if dealer want me pay for this I had no choice, since it was out of warranty. So for this cost of the car, need better warranty.

  • A bad experience - 2004 Honda Odyssey
    By -

Couplr of instances changed my thought about buying aHonda again, a advice I passed on to my friends who went on to buy toyota. Service was poor during my visit to replace the rear windshield that shattered on a cold Feb morning. Fortunately, no one was hurt. The van has only 4k with two 1-2k trips, but it has lot of rattling and sounds. The dealer took care of the glass in four days but left lot of scratches on the out side of the rear glass and on the inside . They also removed the net in the trunk and never called me to get it back. Overall, my experience is not great for the price I paid and would be reluctant to buy honda van.

  • great ride - 2004 Honda Odyssey

this mini van is awsome - the features are great. my only gripe is that the cup holders in the front of the van are way too shallow. it is really easy to manuver, turns on a dime, and it is easy to manipulate all of the controls and to move the seats for loading stuff. my two year old actually thanked me for buying her a new car that was "fun".

  • Fantastic Car - 2004 Honda Odyssey

We bought this car new and have since put on 48,000 miles. We have not had a single problem. Its a good performer. Our two kids love it. It has hauled a lot of cargo for us. This car is 10 time better than our old Chevy Venture. America should learn a thing or two regarding reliability from Honda.

  • almost all I expected! - 2004 Honda Odyssey

I am leasing this vehicle since may 2004 and pretty much planning to buy it! Yes, there is room to improve but so far we are 99% satisfied with everything related to it!

  • lots of room, powerful, the best buy - 2004 Honda Odyssey
    By -

this is my 5th honda and i shopped around a lot,and the only mini van that came close was the toyota sienna.honda has traction control and abs standard.with 240hp the van has awesome acceleration,it handles good when passing other vehicles or turning.you can load a 52 in tv,and some other stuff.the dash is easy read, and nicely organized.lets not forget the front side air bags.if you put a child that weights less than 45lbs on the front passenger seat, the air bag will not work and will shot itself off.16 in wheels and tinted windows are standard.forget ford or chrysler test drive an odyssey and you will love it.
