2000 Odyssey EX fair review - 2000 Honda Odyssey
By Bob Lichorad - September 5 - 2:00 amI dont believe in any of the uneducated bad reviews listed here. Those who wrote them must be non Honda owners for sure. As a saleman, I put over 167K miles on my HO. Not a single problem, never let me down, not once. I am still waiting for any sign of tranmission problem but I have seen none so far. Every system works perfectly. My only complaint is the front windows wind noise after 120K.

Pure Junk - 2000 Honda Odyssey
By larck - August 7 - 2:00 amWarning!! Do not buy a Honda Odyssey of any year after 1998. I own a 2000 LX. Transmission failure at 38,000 mile and A/C failure at 40,000 miles. Glad I purchased the Honda Care warranty when I purchased this lemon.

Beware of Transmission Problems! - 2000 Honda Odyssey
By gingermom - August 5 - 2:00 amAfter 88,000 miles of trouble-free driving, our transmission failed! The warranty appeared to be expired (8yrs./80,000mi.), but luckily Honda agreed to replace the transmission for no charge under warranty. Beware! Other than that, great family/car pooling car. Roomy, handles well.

Shaky Ride - 2000 Honda Odyssey
By Flash6060 - August 1 - 2:00 amWhere to begin? The front end is about to come off! Nothing but vibrations and shimmys. To the dealer several times, new tires, "special balancing", alignments, and now finger pointing on who is at fault (Tire manufacturuer or Honda) Im trading it in for an SUV! Never gain with Honda. P.S. The service checks are a joke! $375 to change the oil and "inspect" a bunch of parts including the brakes which had to be changed two weeks after the service check. Good luck!

Trouble Free - 2000 Honda Odyssey
By ProblemFree - July 23 - 2:00 amMy first Honda. Terrible experiences with previous Chrysler products, Honda has been completely trouble free. Handles well, easy to park, lot of power. Looks new after 4 years and 65k miles!

Those d*mned interior lights! - 2000 Honda Odyssey
By AR22 - June 29 - 2:00 amIn our Ody, if someone is reading with one of their individual seat lights, those lights do not go off, even if you turn off the engine, leave the car, and lock it with the keyless entry system. So, the light stays on until the battery is drained. This is a definite design flaw since this is a common problem. Its happened 3-4 times with me when one of the kids leaves the lights on, we park in the bright garage, get out, lock all doors, and dont realize its on until the next day when eveythings dead.
